The other project that is about 93% complete is a t-slot rail tie-down system. Hand fab'd the hold-down brackets. Just want a few more d-rings.

The front rail is solid as the rear corners. The middle of the longitudinal rails will keep totes from sliding around. If I were to use a riv-nut in the bed for mid-rail, these would be tight. Just not sure I want to drill into the bed. For now, it's good and I'll use a cargo net over everything to help hold in place.

Adjustable location D-rings.

And just because the M8 threaded holes are available, a couple of larger D-rings were bolted to the bed.

Hardest part (for me) was disconnecting the plug underneath the seat and separating the "J channel" so I could access behind the rear flap. Once that was done it was a breeze. If I did it again, I'd probably just unbolt the seat and tip it forward - would save a lot of time.
I'm assuming you didn't reconnect the J Clip? Kind of ridiculous they straight up said, "idk what this does" when it clearly holds tension on the leather seat bottom.

Clipping mine back was a straight up nightmare but I feel much better not giving our seat's build quality a cop out.

Well not exactly anything done directly to either of my RRs , I did do something with the tires I took off my 25 RR . The tires were still like new i took them off my 25 RR the day I brought it home.

One of my nephews turned 16 last week and his Dad and I bought him a decent old 2019 F150 at a county sheriffs Auction. I think we did pretty well getting this truck for under $7K including auction fees. Has typical Law enforcement baggage , custom holes inside and out in odd places , the typical police spot light is still on it.

One thing I spotted that it needed was tires were pretty well worn out, and mismatched.

So I had the oe. Tires from my 25 RR that were just collecting dust out in the barn.
Well I loaded them up this morning.

We got them mounted up on my nephews old Sherifs truck today.
Took off the 265/70R17s and put on the RRs 285/70R17 BFGs.

The bigger tires i think do look pretty nice on there.

Bad at taking pictures, but had the first fun, albeit short day with the truck since I bought it about two months ago. Picked up a new car seat and spent almost two hours figuring that damn thing out as embarrassing as that is to admit. Got my oldest daughter strapped in and found some dirt roads. Such a joy hearing her yell from the back “go faster!” Such a hoot of a truck. She can’t wait to go for another trip and is begging for a purple sleeping bag with rainbows to take for a camp trip for us. Wrapped up the day with some pizza and some thumbs up from a passersby or two.

If the truck holds strong, I may just have to sell the other toy as I know the kiddos are going to ask for this one each time…

Nope. Gave up after fighting with it for 20 mins straight lol.

Did you take your seat out for the install?

Drove the RR in an ice storm with freezing rain for the first time. Slippery mode was good, but won't replace experience driving on wet ice. KO3s were pretty good for what they are. Siping helps but compound isn't ideal. I would still consider studs or chains if doing this all season though. Thankfully we mostly just deal with snow all season, which is much less dangerous.
