I've been looking at the interior LED kit from f150leds.com, but they say it connects directly to the driver side fuse box with a splitter fuse and can't be connected to the AUX harness.
This is the kit: 2024+ Ford Ranger AMBIENT LED LIGHTING – F150LEDs.com

Does anyone have this kit?
Anyone know if it'd be possible to wire it into the AUX harness?
Any other options for interior LED kits that are designed to work with the AUX switches?

THANKS in advance!

Any leds can be connected to AUX switches, just that the wire end locations are all outside the cabin BUT, that doesnt stop you from running a wire from those outputs under the hood output back inside the cabin, or splice the Aux6 wire that goes from the Aux fuse box under the hood, all the way through the kick panel cover at the drivers side, at the foot rest side, all. under the door footwell covers to near the spare tire to the rear bumper.

Pull that kick cover and fish the cable, it should pass there. Even taking the front or rest foot door cover, the cables would pass there. Just get it there IF YOU DONT EVER USE THE HITCH AUX CONNECTION.

You could even splice it at the pillar b base covers for illuminating the rear footwells.

i find the AUX switches pretty well suited for those tasks, much better implemented than any non OEM wiring.

Just change the Fuse rating to near what you need. Led stuff doesnt need much amps.

I'm running Diode Dynamics, my "brain box" the bluetooh module is under the center console then I am running the wires to the front foot wells and under the front seats. I got some velcro with double stick tape on one side, and put it on the lights to stick to the seat,

there are blunt cut wires under the bcm near the wire grommet you said. theres a high beam trigger, marker and ignition on wire.
I got my DD in a fuse tap at the bcm, this was before I found out about the blunt cuts.

Wow - thanks for the detailed reply!
I think I can do something similar with the f150leds.com kit. They have a fuse tap on a 5A fuse in the cabin (driver side).
What I'm looking to do is control on/off using one of the AUX switches (probably AUX1 since it's also 5A).

I'm thinking that instead of putting fuse #33 into the fuse tap, I need to run the lead from AUX1 under the hood into the cabin, then strip out the fuse tap and splice that into the lead from AUX1. Once wired, the LED kit would *only* be on if AUX1 is on.

Does anyone with experience think that I'm thinking about this the right way? It's been a minute (more like 30 years!) since I did wiring in my vehicles.

This is from their install video. #1 is the factory fuse and #2 is the fuse tap from their kit:

I have the F150led ambient lighting kit. I really like it but I wired it up with the fuse tap. It comes on when the ignition is switched, can be controlled with their remote control.

Thanks for the info.
I'm looking to control the on/off with one of the AUX switches so I can leave the remote in the center console but still control on/off independently from the truck being on.

That, and the AUX switches are cool. :)

So I'm hoping I can switch the power using the lead from AUX1. It seems like I have to run a wire from the engine compartment to the fuse box, then tap into the power wire from the f150leds kit.
