A lot of them are like that, still not always bad deals, sometimes you can get out of some of those add on items. You can also leverage their advertised price against them to a certain degree.

You just have to weed your way through the BS and figure out what truck meets your desired spec, and which one has the best OTD price.
The spec and the OTD or in some long-distance cases the price delivered to your driveway is all that really matters.

I have found that when they tell you they want 5K over sticker, those are the ones to skip over and work with ones that advertise great deals or even decent looking deals are better to work with.
Looking at it from the standpoint that at least there add indicates they are dealer looking to deal.

I called that dealer they'll put a 4k package on or they won't sell it to you.

‘Thats definitely still one if the cheapest new RRs out there.
Plus lowballing on trade by $4-6k versus Carmax/Carvana + 1k doc fee.

It's not a deal seriously.

‘If it’s around $56 does it really matter what they call stuff or how they got there, if the majority of them are selling around MSRP or maybe 1000-1500 off . OTD at 56 would still be a good deal.

If they stack a bunch of BS on top of a MSRP advertised price you would be looking more around 60k OTD.

As far as Carmax goes , take the carmax offer and buy the new Truck at the best possible OTD number you can find.

I agree, total OTD matters. But dealer integrity and honesty matter just as much or more to me.

To me most of the time if searching wide open (nationwide)for the best deals on exact specs I am looking for , I am likely buying trucks from dealers I will never see again, most are a long ways from home. They will never see the truck they are selling me again.

With long distance stuff and dealers that I will never likely see again, all that matters to me is the OTD number.

‘Least wise in my experience when dealing with tracking down deals on new vehicles.
New is new and a buck is a buck.
What they want call all their BS stuff is just that, typical car dealer BS, all of them have a certain amount of BS to sift through, argue about ect. ect.

At the end of the day, for me the best OTD number and closest match to the spec I am searching for wins the sale or deal with me.

I'm assuming you also factor in all of your travel costs in the OTD right? Or do you get the vehicle delivered and factor that into the OTD?

Either way you'd have to factor that in. Unless you're just looking for a reason for a long road trip. In which case, carry on!
