It is unreal to me that it's the first of the new year and the order guide has been available for months, and you can order a 2026, but Ford has yet to update their site? No wonder Ranger sales are falling behind expectation!

The 2026 maverick is in production and already on dealers lots.

if That happens for the Ranger and the web configurator is not up, than I would unleash the conspiracy theories

as it is the 6gen ranger in NA seems to be on a little later build start schedule versus other vehicles.

since we have the ordering guide for 2026, and the changes are so minor, I don’t see anything to stop some one from ordering now with a dealer.

I don't think it's a conspiracy, but I do think that the Ranger gets a lot less love from Ford corporate than the F150 or Maverick. Profit per truck is way lower than the F150, and the Maverick has become a weird halo vehicle for Ford. The Ranger is squeezed by both when it comes to attention and marketing dollars. Even the Ford.com webpage for the Ranger is half-assed compared to other models.

Oh you can go in an order one right now and have been able to for weeks! The order guide date pretty much tells the dealer they can order. We took tons of orders prior to website release data.

that maybe but....

website maverick versus ranger appear basically the same to me. They follow the same outline.

Red-headed stepchild of the lineup, no doubt. The Ranger is such a hidden gem but Ford is afraid of what it would do to F150 sales if 70% of F150 buyers suddenly realized a Ranger fit their lives better.
Ford puts a 6' bed on a NA Ranger, or a Supercab with the 6' bed like my 1996 Ranger STX, and F150 sales really take a bite.

Ordered mine last week in avalanche for a build date of 2-10-26. No big changes other than the bump of $1K to base price. Funny, I checked insurance rates and actually less for the ‘26 than a ‘25🤷‍♂️

Theories not based on fact are indeed conspiracies. On this thread so far it's been asserted that Ford "... is afraid of what it would do to F150 sales..." and "...Profit per truck is way lower than the F150". I haven't seen these assertions backed by verifiable sources, so while it seems obvious to those of us paying attention that Ford isn't marketing the Ranger at all, or seemingly putting any effort into selling the Ranger, it's merely speculation as to *why* they're not. Fear permeating their org chart? Maybe. Maybe not. Strictly a profit margin play to put emphasis on selling the F150? Maybe, maybe not. This one seems odd to me since I see the F150 discounted an awful lot, but I don't know so I too can only speculate. The other theory is that the Bronco which shares the assembly line is selling better so Ford needs to allocate production resources to the Bronco, leaving the leftover resources for the Ranger.

Agree with some of this, but trust me the Bronco sales have tapered as many now sit on lots way longer than the limited few Rangers you see on lots. Ford has the capacity to build as many Rangers and Brocos as the consumers can buy, so I don't think it has much to do with a shared plant environment, as just adding a line to a hot seller will produce the numbers needed. I firmly believe, fact or proof or not, that the two other possibilities you started with, and others have echoed, are indeed the more logical reasons. Just my .02

Ordered my 2025 Lariat on October 16 right as the window opened for the 2026 orders and there was some question as to whether the order would go through because of the timing. I stuck with my plan for the 2025 as the 2026s were $1100 more in the configuration I wanted due to some bundling of options. My order for the 2025 was accepted by Ford and I received it a couple of weeks ago (it's awesome!). Dealership I worked with was able to order the 2026 easily enough if I wanted it and, as there weren't any significant changes to the configs, that might contribute to them being slow in updating the website. However, I've designed and published my own websites before and updates are not that difficult, so it does make you wonder...
