Yes sir. I shouldn’t have shared anything on the subject.
I can say that the projects I’ve been involved with typically take way longer than forecasted. Unless someone leaks something & companies decide to share their trial/errors, then NDA’s are kinda useless at that point.
Then the products I’ve personally worked to bring to market start off at 60-90 days, and a year later are still a ways off.

Trying Borla, Milltek, AFE, Magnaflow, MBRP, etc.
If they get anywhere close to their latest system for the F150, it’ll be like that old song…”close enough to perfect for me “.

I just finished bolting up Borlas Twin Polyphonic Harmonizers with their 21” switchfire, with a couple of FMU megaphones thrown in. Probably sounds like everything else out but have high hopes. I may eventually get a unique sound if I don’t go bankrupt first.
That’s a lot of work. I appreciate it. I’m interested in a loop followed by a z pipe, a longer muffler and some good resonators. I’ve heard positive things about these: https://zzperformance.com/collections/3800-exhaust/products/zzp-2-5-ultra-quiet-short-stainless-resonator

OP, did you consider moving the resonators pre muffler?
Yes I’d like to move the two two small or resonators pre muffler and install larger resonators immediately prior to exit. I’m seeking a refined exhaust note, if possible.

Roger that! I am going to get a quote next week for mine. Was debating just having the resonators moved at the same time.

I was just under mine and there are no pre muffler resonators. I only see flex tubing between the muffler and cats.

Can’t wait to see the results!

That’s correct. We are discussing cutting out the factory resonators from the stock location and relocating them pre-muffler.

Ah, I'm just going to ditch those altogether.

I tired the stock resonators in front of the muffler. Made it very quiet. I removed one of them, and it was better but still not there. Added an X pipe in front of muffler with 2 res, 1 res, no res, ended up taking out the resonators, X pipe, moved X pipe to the rear of muffler. Here's a sound clip. Lotta traffic noise, and was leaking around 4 of the welds, but so far it's what I've been chasing. Now just fine tuning the sound. I went with a tighter 20" loop. Will post final...when it's finished.

Sounds good. What exhaust mode are you filming in and using as a baseline for volume and tone?
I’m more shooting for an Audi 2.7T S4 smooth tone. I had an e46 m3 with an open dump pipe so I’ve had enough rasp for another decade.

im super happy with it. Enjoyed the project in the garage and the new sound is much smoother than factory. Reminiscent of my Gen 3 in how smooth the note is. Not any louder but smoother.
Saw your video man, definitely an improvement!!
