Price lol
DIY materials and tools
400-800 depending on brand, thickness layers your going for. Etc.

Payed $800 for the labor to do the doors, roof, and exterior firewall behind the fender liners.
Payed around $500 for materials and tools and supplies to do the work.
Total $1200-1300

I had 3 different quotes from 3 different local stereo shops, quotes varied from $1200-$4000.

I agree they are not super loud where road noise is concerned , nothing like a Bronco .
There is nothing insulating the roof, and a moderate rain storm can sound more like hail storm without the dreading materials being added.

I liked it enough after doing the first RR, I immediately did my other RR, and was one of the top priority mods for Godzilla project RR that just got its sound deadened done a couple weeks ago.
You did it, or had someone else do it? Who does that? Body shop?

Who does that type of install? Body shop? Detailer?

I did the doors myself, after watching Flaberdoopin on YouTube. Super easy and satisfying job. So I had about $75 in materials in it.
I paid a guy at the FORD dealership to do the roof so I had around $300 in it. Flaberdoopin covers this also, but it really didn’t look like fun.
It’s most noticeable in the car wash, I used the iPhone decibel app before and after. Reduced it by about 9 decibels. The doors feel and sound more solid when you close them.

Car audio /Stereo shops are likely your best bet for experienced installers of sound deadening materials.

Thanks, thats what I was thinking. No concerns with new rattles after tearing everything apart and putting back together?

Shouldn’t be, but I suppose anything is possible if they don’t get everything back together correctly.

I have been chasing an intermittent rattle in the dash of my 24 model RR , but we didn’t do any sound dreading behind the dash. I thought I had it fixed, the start stop eliminator was bouncing around a bit behind the glove box. I addressed it and the rattle stopped for several weeks, and heard it again last week. So jury is still out on the dash rattle behind the dash of my 24 RR.
Should be totally unrelated to the sound deadening. Other than maybe it’s simply more noticeable now that the interior is quieter . lol 😆

I did the door sound deadening project last year. Very satisfying job. I had the deadening material put under the headliner a couple months ago. Huge difference!
Yeah Flaberdoopin said the same thing after he did his headliner, just not that adventurous yet, haha

Headliner is too much for me as well.

I have that recall about the side air bag, to add a protective shield. I asked my dealer to add soundproofing mats and he accepted.

I wish I knew that was an option when I had my recall taken care of. Oh well

I just did the Roof, rear wall, and rear floor sound deadening this weekend after doing the doors previously. Huge difference.

You definitely need to do the roof even thought it's a PITA.
