the cold start on the new dual exhaust with the aftermarket muffler was not as loud as i was worried it would be. i leave for work at 0455 so i don't want to be bothering my neighbors as they are all retired and even though they are probably already up drinking coffee, i don't want to annoy them.

so anyways, i remote started from in the house as i was preparing the dog and cat food right before i walk out and the truck started. instead of having to stop and listen for it, i could hear it slightly louder than before. not bad at all. i go outside and the exhaust is just barely louder then it normally is so that is good because you know how to the cold start on these engines is louder than the operating temp idle because of the fuel enrichment bringing the cats up to temp.

so that was good to find out. its not like i live in one of those neighborhoods where the houses are only 8 or 10 feet apart, but still. exhaust can wake people up fairly easily when its louder.

Just bought an MBPR exhaust for my 2.7. Much cheaper to go through their reseller. I was charged no tax, or shipping. https://mbrpexhauststore.com/

Question is now do Install this myself or pay someone $250 to do it, if I'm impatient. I have all the tools but never really installed an exhaust before...Anyone on this forum done the MBPR install?

It would likely be easy to do yourself and save the install money. I think this system is mainly three sections, so not too hard.

The challenge could be getting out the OEM pipe if it's mostly one piece. Might have to remove a shock as I did with my former Frontier.

I put the 4WD into action for the first time on Saturday. The FX4 gear didn't have any problems with this trail, but I've got plans for bigger tires/suspension and some other stuff!

That is 35% tint @spazzyfry123. It's the grade I always go with.

I used the tailgate bottle opener and hung a trash bag on the bag hook!
We drove out to a nice little lake in the hills and had lunch.

A week ago my my daughter took a truck and trailer load of furniture and things to Jacksonville FL. from the Poconos in PA. 2300 miles she got back with my Ranger and an empty trailer.
