Ok so the cutouts were perfect they are the same as OEM. However I own this truck which means inherently I will have strange issues. My problem now is the plate from AAL is too thick by maybe 1mm! Seriously I put my calipers on them 1mm! And, I don't know the best way to go about fixing it. I looked at shaving down the clips like someone else already did, but it doesn't look like that will fix it. Plus if I were to shave them down too far it may end up being loose fitting & I don't want that either. As you can see in the picture it's right at the bend in the clip where it ends up if it were 1mm-2mm thinner I think it would snap right in like it does on the OEM mount. I suppose I could attempt to carefully sand the plate down. Maybe I'll try that on my original plate I already messed with. Sorry thinking about solutions while I'm typing...

I am going to need one of those too. I have been unable to complete my installation. I will buy the replacement plate, I just don't want to buy a complete kit.

I received the slim version today and installed it! I was fairly confident that the third time would be the charm and it was. I did give it a love tap with a 2x4 and a hammer to get the top clip to seat right. Once seated it has the exact same amount of play in the same way as the OEM location!

Thanks! Our entire team is amazing. It's hard to illustrate from this thread, but when we discovered this product needed to evolve for the 2026 trucks, we "mobilized" about 8 people in the shop to get this out ASAP (CAD changes, laser nesting changes, powder coating, packaging, shipping). Everyone did great with getting this worked in. We run a pretty defined production process in the shop, so when something like this comes up, it's always a big test to make sure it gets out quickly and accurately without extra disruption.
