I’ve been really happy with mine. Between the extra power, better shift points, and improved throttle response, I’ve found it to be a solid quality of life improvement over stock, especially when running larger tires.

Really like the transmission shifts now.

Power boost is a welcome add on.

Any tune will bring you to premium gas territory anyway so there's that. If you go into the wild without premium, that can be a downside

I love the tune on thr 2.7L. Shift points are the biggest difference. My wife recently filled the tank with 87 out of habit, so I threw the stock tune back on, used the tank of gas, and installed the Ford Performance tune again when I filled up with 93.

I believe that is based on the limitations of the tires.
Don't care. Still want it removed. And aren't they speed rated S at 112? That's my only issue.

I purchased a used '24 RR with 8K miles that dealership claimed had the Ford Tune installed, but I did not get the "install device." Do I need it to make adjustments, or access the tuning capabilities?

They should've given it to you or they just didn't get it from the guy who traded it in. I believe they do log the VIN in their database when a truck has it installed. You can't flash back to stock or modify without it. Each tool is locked to the VIN as well.

And the vehicle is no longer eligible for the Ford extended warranty.

And I assume I can't purchase another one since it's tied to the VIN?

You could buy one i suppose but if you're fine with it at the moment I'd just leave it. I haven't used mine since it was installed.

The dealership was negligent in selling the vehicle without the programmer.
Contact Ford Performance directly and see if there's anything they can do.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback! I'll first go back to the dealer I purchased it from to determine if they can get from the original owner. He traded it in for a Jeep Cherokee - allegedly needed more room!

No regrets whatsoever. Best upgrade so far and wakes up the truck with additional performance. Would buy it again.
