Just got back from my BC roadtrip with the family. Managed to squeeze in some time up in squamish, the okanagon(terrace mountain) and the kootenays(boundary lake). Thought I'd keep the trend going from earlier and share some of the photos and videos we took.

Some very beautiful sights there!

Whats your wheel/tire/offset/suspension setup?

Hi from Québec province.

Do you have a picture with your tent opened? What model is it and how many can sleep in it?

Looking for something not crazy expensive that can fit over the bed that is not taller than the roof when driving

it’s the wildland summit explorer, fits 2 adults and maybe a kid or dog pretty comfortably. I wouldn’t say 3 adults.

I keep seeing this repeating theme, Ranger's with 33's doing the majority of real off-roading just fine. I tend to push back against the mindset of the Raptor crowd that says "you need a lift and 35's for serious off-roading".

Modified XLT's / Lariats with 33's and stock RR's on 33's do quite well in the majority of off-roading without suffering tie rod breakages, piss poor acceleration / fuel economy and increased roll over risk from lifts + 35's.

I'm not opposed to using car ramps, stacking rocks, shoveling dirt and picking my lines more carefully for the 30 seconds I might actually benefit from 35's + lift. Not saying they don't have a place, for mostly rock crawling, it does make sense, but for trails, high speed stuff, on-road, back roads, dirt roads, gravel roads, sand dunes etc. 33's are honestly better overall.

I think that's why even full-sized trucks like the Silverado 1500 ZR2 Trail Boss and F-150 Tremor also have 33's stock. It's a very good all-around tire that balanced legitimate off-road capability without compromising too much on road and for utility (towing, payload) where most trucks, even off-road focused ones, still spend 90% of their life.

Nice XLT build!
