Software update for recall 26E04 for the powertrain control module update for 2024 Ranger Raptor with Ford Performance Procal Tune

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone with the Ford Performance tune have done the software recall update for the power module (26E04). I was told by the dealer that the proper steps is to bring it back to stock , apply the software update for the recall then re-apply the tune again. I was just wondering if anyone encountered any issues with this. I read somewhere that it didn't work on some when they tried to re-apply the tune again because the Procal software that was initially installed was not compatible with the updated module software...

You'll need to update the tuner with the procal software. I dont remember the exact hoops you have to jump through. I did it in under an hour.

Thanks! I’m getting the FP tune installed this week and I’m sure this will help them get it done.

Did you have to call Ford Performance Tech Support to get the updated tuner? Im not sure how to update the Procal device with a newer tuner file
