What did that cost you? They really did a great job.Local place did a great job and the truck looks better than just the paint that Ford protected the underside with. It comes with a lifetime transferrable warranty and I am to get it touched up every 2 years.

I used to use Fluid Film. It rinsed off too easy and smells like the north end of a south bound mule.Does it smell like an old sheep now?
Surface shield is a tackier lanolin option that doesn’t smell. I’ve switched to surface shield for these reasons, with one notable exception: surface shield aerosol cans are criminally dysfunctional while fluid film aerosol cans spray well. I keep the latter in my garage for quick sprays of equipment I have around the house. It’s also worth noting that fluid film does have a lanolin smell but the smell dissipates within a few days; it’s really no big deal to me.Does it smell like an old sheep now?
Glad to hear it sounds like they’ve updated their formula. I had fluidfilm put on a truck a few years back and it stank forever.Surface shield is a tackier lanolin option that doesn’t smell.
