In scouring the internet, it appears that all Rangers have SYNC 4A. 4A is designed for the vertical screen that we have unlike the F150 which has the horizontal screen.
The XLT and above have the connected maps and Sirius radio but the XL/STX doesn't.
Hope that helps.
How much of a pain was installing the sound deadening in the roof? I'd love to, but I'm also a bit concerned about taking the headliner down and all the air bag crap one has to deal with.
On your +30s, do you have any rubbing at full lock or compression?
I'm about to pull the trigger on the new FOX 2.0 coilovers and a set of Bronco Sasquatch take offs. They are +30 and I'm thinking of just changing out the crash bars anyway to the aftermarket modified ones.
I agree here. Wasn't gonna totally dash his hopes...lol.
Between the 2" offset gain and the 1" wheel width gain plus the wider tire, there's just no way.
Think of it this way, at a +6 vs a +25 you're pushing that wheel out another almost 3/4" and that drastically changes the pivot point.
The stock wheels are +55 so that vs a +6 is nearly 2" further out plus your tire is going to be bigger.
If it works, post pics please! I'd love for it to work.
I only know of a guy that's running 0 offset with 285/70/17 and he had to remove the crash bars even with a 2" lift. I imagine it'll be VERY close at best with the +6 and I cant imagine it works at all with the -6.
You're planning a slightly smaller tire but that offset is really aggressive...
i highly doubt the +6 will allow for your tires to clear the fenders without serious modifications including at least a 2" lift and trimming, never mind going to the -6. The clearing of suspension is a whole other conversation.
I've never seen a hardware store sell stake pocket inserts that lay flat when not in use. They would look like this and they have to be made specific for vehies. These are from Ford for the F150 but they don't offer them for the Ranger.
I 100% would get an external temp gauge that connects to your OBD2 port and pull the actual temps from the ECM. IMHO, anything above 260 for normal driving would concern me. Others here may offer a specific temp range they would recommend to consider.
The ECM calculates it and its more accurate than a sensor. I'm not an auto engineer but I am a design engineer and work on massive Central Utility Plants. In today's day, sensors are becoming more obsolete and for good reason. As we move closer to operations that require no humans, we are able...
I have a 2025 XLT with the 2.7L and never see anything about the halfway point. If I were you I'd get a unit to plugs into the OBD2 port and monitor the actual temps
