Will this automatically be applied? Already ordered my XLT and I think my dealer is sick of me bothering him about it.
Followed up with my dealer and he said they will take care of it on their end. Once the truck is received and I show up to pay, it will be applied. I would still recommend confirming with your respective dealers to ensure it’s applied.

i think PHEV will be thier saving grace. in 2025 when it comes out
that seems to be a popular thought, but I'm wondering if there's any way to guesstimate a % of total Ranger sales to that. I won't rehash my thinking here, but I just see limited appeal based on how convenient home charging is for people + whether the MPG is significantly better than current alternatives to make people pay a premium for PHEV? We all know PHEV is an interim solution on the way to full BEV and there are arguments to just wait for that or even swap in a Ford EV crate motor conversion to a truck you can own now and update later when forced to bc full ICE is obsoleted (banned).

i know in CA their law saying by 2035 ice will be banned but theres lot going on still we will see if that sticks. The PHEV would not be banned since its not ice . Ford needs CA sales were too big a profit margin..

that currently only applies to NEW ICE vehicle sales beginning 2035. Ford can sell New Maverick Hybrid, Mach-E, Lightning, and any other upcoming BEV vehicles after that.

**Not a raptor order, so sorry I replied to the thread when you specifically asked for Raptor. I don't think it's available for Raptor, but since it's ongoing, I'd expect once Raptor retail orders open up, this might still be available.

I had an order with an out of state dealer at a little below invoice, but figured with the $1000, I'd see if I could buy from a local dealer for the same price. I sent messages to 3 dealers, one being the largest in my area, and two other pretty sizeable dealer groups.

The one closest to me said, they hadn't heard of any pre-order discounts. The second one said they weren't willing to do invoice. The third said, yep we see the $1000 discount in the system and will do invoice minus the $1000. So, I ended up better off by checking in with the dealers nearby (and found another regional 4x4 discount of $250 on the build sheet too).

The dealer I had the order with originally out of state just replied saying, we'll give you any discounts available at the time, but didn't indicate they'd add the discount to my current order.

That's exactly what my dealer told me - either they both are blowing smoke, or it is true. I hope chat GPT didn't fake the $100 discount

So the most recent update that only 1,500 units of Rangers being sold since the banks open may have some truth to it. Looks like Ford is sweating a bit, but I don't think a measly grand off is going to have any true bearing on increasing sales lol
It's not surprising that the 2024 isn't really attracting many pre-orders. Other then the Raptor, there isn't any "big excitement" or "gotta-have-it" feature on the new Ranger vs the previous one or the competition. Yes, the interior is nicer, but that's really the only advantage seen with the naked eye. Exterior styling is all preference. The V6 might attract a few more people when it's available. There was a lot more excitement when the 2019 launched because although it was an updated older product from the rest of the world it was "all new" for North America. The 2024 is just a heavy re-fresh with less non-Raptor models and combinations available.

If and when more models are offered and it's possible to get a Raptor without spending thousands and thousands above MSRP it might be a bit more popular. My guess is with the increase in MSRP over the current model and the competition which seems to take this segment more seriously this rebate won't be the first one we see on this vehicle.

I just confirmed with my dealer today that I had a coupon for 1250 off. Not sure if this is the same thing or not.

I actually think there are a few attractive features about the 24 Ranger like the 4' wide bed between wheel tubs, power rear slider and memory seat functions. But saying that I still think holding back the 2.7L and the poor color choices are preventing some of the orders.

No kidding. If Atlas blue was available, my choice would be easy, just not a fan of Velocity, and won't spend $1K on Azure Gray,,,,

This $1000 offer is worthless if the truck isn't built by probably mid August. It will not be to the dealer in time to use. Now that they delayed production start until mid August nobody will probably have a chance on cashing this in.
