I’m needing some help from a kind soul who’s smarter than me and that ain’t hard! On the positive battery post , there’s no room to attach a clamp from a jumper cable or a jump pack. If I were to need to jump off this battery, where do I need to clamp the cable?? I’m concerned that some of these are fused and not sure where to clamp a jump pack or booster cables. Or even a charger or maintainer. I crudely drew a circle with a number on what I’m thinking may be a conductive attachment point. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I’d go to your number 2 or 8? That’s what the number looks like.

But I think you could go right to the terminal metal as it is not a solid piece.

I checked my starter pack cables and it works fine.

thanks for reminding me to check.

Thank you sir, I appreciate the help….and great information. I have a Wolfbox jump pack and the clamps are too big to fit directly on the post like yours do. And I need to edit that photo, those numbers are unreadable, sorry about that.

I’m thinking #1 is the nut that holds down the entire assembly, #2 is fused with a 3 amp, I suspect that’s the BMS fuse?
3 and 4 are empty accessories. Any suggestions, I’m thinking #1 if there’s continuity to that battery post SURROUNDED by plastic 😞

#2 is connected directly to the battery terminal. The fuse is after #2

#1 I’m not sure, I think you are right, I’m not sure how that tightens the clamp on the battery terminal.

it almost looks like #4 is the same as #2 and connect directly to the battery terminal with a good chunk of metal

The fuse won't matter as long as you connect on the battery side of it, your jump start current will not pass through that fuse.

Thank you sir, I appreciate your help. I never ran into this before, I’ve always been able to get to the post on my batteries!

If you want a more substantial place to attach your alligator clamp without damaging the threaded stud just add a couple of nuts. If I recall the larger ones are M10 and the smaller ones are M8 but don't quote me on that. I saw it either in the owner's manual or in the body builders book.

edit: It's in the Australia body builders book, looks like they are M5 and M6. I have a hard time with metrics.

That’s an outstanding idea, and something I will do . Would definitely help that connection point, and protect the threads at the same time. Thank you sir.
