Also, like others have said, the 3.0 liter is a nice addition but is direct injection only, means you will have to have the valves cleaned very 30-40 miles.
So my drive to Ohio would require walnut blasting 20 times, one way.:LOL:

This is diabolical, look what they removed from Lariat/Raptor + MY26 Lariat lost projector headlights and leather now this:

★LUXURY PACKAGE (54B / ADPAB) Availability: Opt. on Lariat Opt. on Raptor Includes:
● Ambient Lighting
● B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen® with HD Radio™ (10 speakers including subwoofer)
● Heated Steering Wheel (Lariat)
● Memory Drivers Seat
● Rain Sensing Wipers
● Power Folding Mirrors
Farley's Optional-priced Removed Devices (FORD) extravaganza means paying even more for less for the 2027 on top of the 2026 already eliminating features of the 2025, with no reduction in pricing. At least Ford did not resurrect the 1970s Maverick/Comet premium "Corinthian vinyl" as a Ranger Raptor exclusive and just kept the same Active-X that they upholster some Escapes, Maverick Lobo, Lariat, and Tremor, and Ranger Lariat.

As each model year is introduced, and we see continual decontenting, I continue to be very pleased with my Dec '24 built Lariat I purchased Feb of '25. I managed to jump into Ranger before they started removing features I like, use and enjoy AND features that make may my Lariat a Lariat.

If Ford is trying to get Ranger owners to rebuy Rangers...I think they are failing; I was thinking about either "upgrading" to a '27 Ranger or moving to an F-150 next year. If I do make a change, it won't be a new Ranger...why would I want to pay more to get less than what I have now?

My dealer asked if I would be thinking about trading my 2025 Ranger with the 2..3 to make sure he had an allocation in case I decided to trade but I told him no and after looking at the 2027 Order Guide I for sure wouldn't have been trading. They keep taking features out of the Ranger.

I think there is a difference between losing the option completely and charging for the option.

obviously inflation is a thing so I don’t think having a separately priced option is bad

removing the feature completely, that I don’t like

like the side mirror turn signals are gone.

if for some reason my 2025 lariat had to be replaced, I can’t get the same thing, or better.

I think that is a failed strategy by Ford, for a number of reasons.

interestingly, the lower trims all get the 12” center console display as standard.

Good catch. I missed that Reading Through the first time. Seems the 12” screen a dual zone climate control are standard across the lineup now.

Lightly used 2024 and 2025 Rangers may become in demand. Perhaps Ford is trying to push people into an F150 to maximize profit to offset the $4 Billion investment in EV and PHEV. Removing standard features and making them optional without lowering prices seems to be a Ford Ranger MY trend.

Yesterday I was looking at three brand new high end full sized trucks parked side by side at my dealership, from Ford, Chevy, and RAM. Ford F150 Raptor @ $94K. Chevy Silverado ZR2 @ $77K discounted to $69K. RAM 1500 RHO (2027) discounted to $89,500.

It is not just the Ranger, Ford has done this for years on the F series trucks
Purchased a F150 Platinum in 2015 and by 2019 same trim level had multiple packages
to get the same truck. So nothing new.

Same thing on the Explorer, delete standard equipment, make some of it optional, keep base price the same. That’s why I bought a Ranger, 26 Explorer platinum did not offer the 3.0 V6, deleted the paddle shifters I had on my 2020 Platinum, rear window shades, powered retractable steering wheel, optional moon roof, keyless entry, etc.

My brother just got a 2026 Maverick Tremor and it has everything included like spray in liner, graphic's package etc. The 2027's dropped this and they lowered the price but now you add all the stuff that was included in the 2026 and the 2027 actually comes out more expensive.

That is the plan
Ford Sayes we did not raise the price you choose to pay more to get what you want.
Dealers will just order bare bones Ranger Raptors to keep MSRP down and to get what you want you will need to special order and wait and wait

Ditto, but taken a step further, I really like my projector led headlights and leather seats, and of course, the venerable 2.7 with port and direct injection in my ‘25. And while I like my velocity blue, I have to admit I’m a bit jealous of the new blue, but c’est la vie.
I would have to see the new blue to determine if I agree with you. I'm a blue fan and like the velocity blue, but I'm not a fan of the baby blue the Maverick comes in.

Edit: found a pic of Neptune Blue. Nice, but I like velocity blue better. Not too dark, not too light.
