So after filling up about half hrs ago I was driving and noticed the dash switching driving modes automatically. It managed to switch to 4wd then 4wd low before I pulled over and put it in park. Once in park I was able to switch to normal and drove home. Lucky I was going about 15 mph... I couldn't find a thread like this but remember some discussion months ago I thought. Thanks

Mine inadvertently switched to Baja on its own I saw it scroll through the drive modes and nothing was touching the knob.

Insane...it did scroll sporadically through different modes and I saw on the gear dial 4L and 4H alternating. Just got done driving on 2- 10 min routes and appears ok. Already spoke to the dealer and he sounded baffled. Asked if I wanted to bring it it.

I had the same happen driving about 60mph.
The truck scrolled all the way to sand mode. As far as I could tell it didn't engage the transfer case even to 4 high. I dialed it back down immediately.

Surprised this hasn't triggered a tsb or recall...I just sent the dealer an email. We'll see what happens

My '24 RR with 4,400 miles just did the same thing while driving 30-35 mph. showed to be engaging 4L and it did lock the rear dif. I stopped and shut it off and restarted, but it still had the rear dif locked until the next time I shut it off.

So the irony is mine had about 4465mi...just took it for another 10 miles and nothing. Fingers crossed, need to drive 200miles tomorrow!

Weird that it went into 4L while on the move and in gear. Normally you can’t go into 4L without stopping and being in neutral?
It's probably just showing that it was turned to 4L without actually going into 4L. You would feel your head jerk if it really went into 4L. Still a pain

Mine has tried to go from 4A normal into 4H baja a couple times in 15k of driving. Doesn't actually hurt anything, but definitely catches your attention. Nothing even close to touching the dial. Service manager couldn't pull any codes, but said his full size f150 does something similar when in 4a. But definitely a software glitch since mine has been on smooth highway at about 40 mph, in good weather.
