So shops are trolling for customers? I've gotten a few random calls from the local dealerships about my recalls, but to get texted is going a bit far. . .

Rare dealer W ... Ruidoso does some insanely awesome care for customers because of their small workload. Also, updates are free. Looks like they'll replace the BCM totally, then reprogram it.

I had that issue immediately after buying my truck. The dealer couldn’t figure it out and I almost lemon law’d it, then Ford released the TSB saying software update. The dealership did the update and no problems since.

I have a J&L catch can installed in lieu of the short PCV hose mentioned in the bulletin. I wonder if I should remove it before taking it in for the BCM update. BTW, This is not a dirty engine as the catch can gathers almost nothing. Probably a waste of money.

I would install the original hose if its being talked about in the tsb
