My software update 26C10 did not automatically download but the Ford app had a notice on it to schedule an appointment. So Monday will take it in. They download via OBD port.

26C10 is not available now as an over the air (OTA) update. But will likely are rolling out in mid April, best guess based on the last software update (brake booster)

If you are not towing anything, you can wait.

If you are towing stuff, get it updated by a dealer now.

My update was over air... In reverse the camera now shows the trailer hitch in the screen on my Lariat. Trailer assist update?

Curious...this software update targeted for non Raptors only?
Seen no signs or notices software related last some days either in RR or Ford app...

I have a 2024 Ranger Raptor and I got an OTA update installed Friday. Onscreen note as everyone has posted but not much info.

In the last year, I've only had one update. I just checked, and it was the break booster reprogram. No others are listed on the screen. I did read somewhere that Ford won't clear the notice until it's verified by a shop.

Starting March 17, the update will be available for the majority of vehicles via Over-the-Air (OTA), dealership, or mobile service. OTA updates are expected to be deployed for all vehicles by May.

That was always an option on my '24 XLT. You just have to select it on the screen when in reverse.

My dealer just called to bring the Ranger in for the trailer hitch software recall. Doing that Monday. Should take an hour. Small dealership; no Ford tech home service.

Appreciate the heads up...been 18 months since I cracked open the manual!

I figured out why I was not getting the update. My truck sits for long periods of time, the battery must have been too low. I bought a trickle charger last night and lo and behold, I received the update today.
