Aeroskin II Deflector

I have the Aeroskin II bug deflector on back order. Has anyone used this on their 6G? Are they worth it? Any concerns?

So far, pretty happy with it. I think it looks pretty good as well.

I thought the II had the added deflector in the middle - no?

Not sure! This is the one that’s like $120 on the Ford accessories site. I used Ford Pass points to get it

I love mine. I used my FordPass points to get one and the J-Braces. But I got 2 rock chips on the front of the hood before I was able to get it in and installed. That was my main reason for getting it. Don't like that it installs with 3M tape but it's better than more rock chips.

This is what I meant but I guess this is an AVS product- notice the middle part for added deflection. I think the deflector part is for rocks and the lip is for bugs

I love mine, got it with ford pass points and had installed, Mine is a mat finish but doesn't have the lip as shown in the photo

I’ve had one on my 2020 STX for over three years; it looks great and serves its purpose. No issues with it, including the car wash. Plan on installing on my 24 XLT when (if) it ever actually arrives.

Oh sorry, mine's the gen 1. Didn't like the look of the gen 2.

For anyone who installed the Ford Lund aeroskin 2 did you find it slightly narrower than the hood? I dry fit mine and it seemed like it was maybe 1 or 2 mm short. Otherwise it seemed fine.

My Aeroskin 2 deflector has a matte black finish (not shiny) and a small raised ridge in the middle. I haven’t driven it on the highway yet. But when I do, I hope it cuts down on bugs. I previously had a very similar one on my Jeep Wrangler for 5 years. Really liked it. Cracked windshields are typical on Jeeps…and really just due to bad luck. But I like the protection, bug reduction (I hope), and looks.
