Doubting and knowing are two different things. I would rather not chance it.Unless you're doing some serious offroading I doubt this would ever be a problem.
I wishI got a feeling this j braces thing might be a total over reaction.
Ford does not seem to overly concerned. Unless you're doing some serious offroading I doubt this would ever be a problem.
I don't know if I'll ever install a rack and roof top tent, but I certainly wouldn't be caught in one on a Ranger if I wasn't sure they had the J braces installed. 88lbs is quite a low static weight rating! For sure a possibility. 85% of angers will never See more then a dirt road leading to a cabin.
Thanks for that info. I went ahead and order a set of these. Here are the instructions for these. I can't see why the EGR sites says these wouldn't fit a Raptor. The beds are the same, and a Raptor is in the instructions.
edit: Instruction source
But Ford says the braces are required in circumstances they lay out. Responding to manufacturer requirements isn't overreacting if the circumstances ARE what Ford has spelled outI got a feeling this j braces thing might be a total over reaction.
