i hate how the seat belt clips rattle against the trim pieces. i have to move mine and make sure they are straight and fully retracted or they bother the heck out of me. and of course, the dang seat rattle anytime you undo it if you don't slam it back in place.

Hear me out….

Didn’t fix the noise… but I found it in the front when I pulled the fender liner down to do the amber DRL. ?

The noise is on the outside.

Originally the seat wasn’t latched and it did get quieter after I slammed it. But still has a noise coming from the Right Rear. Definitely associated with wheel travel.

Do you have access to an automotive stethoscope or noise finder diag tool like this? https://a.co/d/akovqgR

Sounds like it’s time to take a buddy (or the mother in law) for a bumpy ride in the back and go fishing with a magnet on a cable once you zero in on the sound.

P.S. Those Ford tool kits are nice.

driving to work, i kept hearing something rattling towards the back passenger side, but it was inside. i figured the dang seat wasn't all the way down so when i got to work, i opened the back door to check. nope, the seat was down. i go to close the back door and hear some noise so i reach into the door pocket and slide my hand around and my son's girlfriend left some kind of lip gloss pen looking deal in there from the weekend. that explains the weird sliding sound i heard yesterday that i couldn't replicate. it had slide forward as far as it could go and then today it was rattling around in the forward most point of hte pocket

It's not in the cab. When the RR wheel cycles over a bump or pothole in the road, that's the magic.

Pulling out of my driveway at an angle it definitely only happens when the RR shock or rear end travels. Tried it the other way and it's the same. Doesn't happen till the R side falls off the drop. Potholes are a little louder but very much coming from that corner and LOUD.

Have you had someone walk beside the truck when going over said bumps?

Working on that... It can be heard but untrained ears aren't much help.
