Interesting that it’s a 2wd but it still had the 4wd knob, just blank except a center icon. Maybe the center icon is for a locker? I assumed a 2wd would just have a hole there instead of the knob since that’s what the overseas one has. I’d personally prefer having a knob there because otherwise the hole was just going to collect dust.

Looks like the door might be able to hold a good size water bottle which would be awesome.

That’s also the drive mode selector so if you want to switch from normal to eco for example you have a way to do that without them creating a new control for one model.

Glad I went Cactus Grey almost looks white. I did change the interior to Sandstone though.

That Lariat has the XLT and XL shifter, which is a little odd. Makes me wonder if the blank 4wd switch is a placeholder since it seems like a little much for the RWD version.

Edit: I noticed that the drive mode selector is the control for the advanced trailer control (right at 6:00)

It is most likely a pre-production vehicle so all kinds of assortment of parts is possible.

It does look pretty white in this video, but I've never seen Cactus Gray appear white on any Ford I've seen in the wild. It kinda ranges from a light gray to a really light green. It looks a lot better than that sounds though.

Here's a white one for comparison. I pulled these pics from a FB group post. Seems like there's a few factory reps visiting dealerships across the country.

That white looks sharp, I could change from silver when time comes before production. Any idea when the v6 option will be available ?

Ford has stated late fall so probably first half of December, unless it gets pushed back.
I am also waiting for the 2.7
I can not decide between a sport or chrome package Lariat.
And for those who think chrome packages are for Boomers
Yea I am an old boomer.
The above picture has me leaning towards the sport. looks better than the build site makes it look.

I owned a 5G in Cactus Gray and in darker lighting, it can definitely pass as white. That's one of the reasons I love the color because it's a bit of a chameleon color that you don't get tired of.

saw that too. I was thinking I’d miss a normal shifter, but I think the electronic one will fit the look for the lariat much better.

I ordered a 2WD XLT with advanced towing, so this truck's console should look just like mine. This is the first I've seen it since all the trucks in the launch videos were 4WD.
