I went with the 2/1 for my '26 Raptor Ranger from FordRangerLifts.com. This company is owned by Robby Woolworth and he has a lot of experience as a desert racer and designed these. I also has him do the install at his place in Las Vegas as I am in AZ. This allowed me to mount 35s on the RR after only replacing the crash bars.

I also did 2 and one goat off-road. I'm on 35s and didn't remove the crash bars at all. Tires don't even come close

Did you go with aftermarket wheels or stick with the stock wheels? I have 2024 RR I bought the Goat off road 2" not installed yet as I am concerned with rubbing and gas mileage my commute is 84 miles a day.

Tires may not come close, but I do some rock crawling with my Jeep friends and I didn't want to find that they are in fact close, or rubbing, when turning the wheel and they are traveling upward.

Yeah, I have to say that I don't do much off-roading with the wheels fully cranked. I do off-road in the desert a lot though. Getting air and with full compression and they've never touched anywhere

I understand that, at Sand Hollow I got "a little air" in my 392 Wrangler that I traded for the Ranger Raptor.

What spec wheels and tires?

On my 17x8.5 +35 methods with 315/70/17 tires they rubbed on the crashbars pretty badly. I just removed them.

I've got nine and three wheels. 17-In plus 35.
Tires are Toyo 35 x17 x11.5
The tires don't touch anything with no modifications, full steering lock to lock going forward or reverse. Hard off-roading.

Thats why, you got skinny 35s. GOAT is right, skinny 35s are the way to go for RR and ET35 wheels.

My method 705s have same offset as your nine and threes, so thats good to know as im about dead set on skinny 35s, but im going for 1.5 / 1 GOAT spacers as I want a little more rake for cargo uses / periodic towing (few times a year at most).

The 2" front lift is absolutely necessary for 315s, but only need 1.5" front lift for 35x11.5s which are a 285 width aka stock width.

Also note that skinny 35s will provide better traction on hard packed dirt, rock and other similar surfaces becuase you get more pressure per sq in. But obviously not as much flotation for sand. But I had zero issues with traction at Silver Lake this year on stock half worn KO3s, so I dont care about more flotation than what a 285 already provides.

For mud / snow, ive also found that skinnies are better as they dig down to the bottom more easily. The again I dont really think 285s are exactly "skinny". My 2016 Mustang GT had 275/35R19s in a square setup....and that was a pretty quick car. 285s are another cm wider yet.

35x11.5s are the ideal 35 profile for the RR.

Yes, they are. They are a lighter option as well.
On the 9 and 3 forged wheels with the Toyo AT3
They were almost exactly the same weight as the stock wheel and tire.

BTW, it's almost like the skinnies were made for the RR. The tread width on the OE spec KO3's is 8.8 in wide (1/2 narrower than off the shelf KO2's / 3's and nearly 1" narrower than tires like the XTM AT's or AT4W's).

The 35x11.5 KO3's have 9in of tread width, so just about only 1/4 more than the OE KO3's. I suspect that's why many people report far less fuel economy loss with skinny's than 315's. Not just mass, but the contact patch is very close to the factory tires.

Also consider that the narrower OE spec KO3's may not necessarily be for fuel economy. It could be for traction optimization given the RR's lighter weight than an F-150 which is nearly 600 lbs heavier. All of the reviews note how much the stock RR grips off-road for factory tires in 33" size. Maybe that's why.

When I did an OHV park last year, there were jeeps on 40's that struggle to get up a rock face, I just crawled right up and did not slip even once. I was actually really surprised at the grip I got out of those tires as I was expecting to have to work at it. Nope.
