Anyone believe the 2025 Ranger will have a plugin hybrid option?

I ordered a 2024 Lariat with the 2.7 on June 21st and still have no build date. I'm guessing I'm SOL at this point. I am hoping to cancel that order and wait for the 2025 if the rumor is true. Any insight is appreciated.

Whats the rumor because I've heard nothing on the matter.

I've just heard consumers (us ?) start rumors. Anything from diesel option, hybrid, or the infamous they will make a Tremor in 25.

I'm guessing we won't see it hit America till 2026/2027, if it's even coming here at all.

My guess is a diesel will never happen in the states for a Ranger. Hybrid in Ranger would cut into Maverick sales, so it might be a while.

A Ranger PHEV will be available in Australia and ROW in 2025. Ford has stated that all Ford Blue vehicles will offer a hybrid power train in the future in the USA. I'm taking that as meaning that the Ranger PHEV will be coming to US but it probably won't be until 2026 (or later).

I've been hoping for a Ranger PHEV for a long time. When it becomes available in the US I will be trading in my 2020 Ranger for one.

We seem to be a year or two behind ROW. They are getting a PHEV and Tremor Ranger in '25. So maybe '26 or '27? I agree with dard6555, no diesels for US.
