I noticed when i have the HL switch in auto mode not only are the DRL's within the headlight housing on,
but the all the side markers and tails are also on, almost like the park light selection except that the front get a little brighter in that mode.
This is a new one on me and first vehicle that all the lights are on with the front drl mode.
With anything I've had in recent times it was only front.

It's the new safety feature for most 2024 and on vehicles cause we know all the stupid people driving around at night with just the DRL's on and no tail lights.

Yea more nannies, I'm surprised that there not mandatory and not driver choice.
In my case i added lighting as in the rear light bar under the tailgate and front roof lights and for those who do Raptor style grill lights they will be on too.
I never really noticed until my brother mentioned he saw me driving around town and why i had all the lights on during daylight, i just blew it off as that those are drls, but he insisted so i checked when i got home and now i know, i will go back into Forscan and see the options to change it, i remember there was something.

Just as bad as driving in pouring rain with no lights at all.
I think new vehicles automatically turn on lights if wipers are on.

I just saw this post, because the LED grille lights I added (wired to the left side marker) don’t stay on with the DRLs. They come on with the headlights and parking lights.
Is there a way to change this? The DRL setting in Settings doesn’t do it.

Thanks.

Sounds like you tapped the wrong wire. I just tapped the drl wire and they work perfectly. Also turned off the wink feature w Forscan so they stay on.

Hmmm…..I tapped the left side marker wires, as advised by the F150LEDS YouTube video. Maybe I should have used a different set of wires? Where are the drl wires located?

So, I had to go into Forscan and change a setting to keep the parking lights on with the DRLs. That fixed it.
Now the side markers and grille lights stay on with the DRLs. Looks great!
