Be careful! To a lot of people on here, it’s more important to prove me wrong and spread misinformation than it is to spread factual information with evidence that backs it up.

no one at any point disagreed that replacing the factory fox shocks with a Fox upgrade package wouldnt be the best option. But, they arent available, so its a moot point and then you have to
Pick the next big thing.

Also, i can almost gaurantee that the upgraded shock package will have a longer open length, which is essentially the same outcome as using a strut top spacer, meaning Fox themselves are OK with increasing the max droop and adding angle to the steering and CV.

also, will be be $9k upgrade, minimum. So alot of moolah for something that isnt able to increase wheel travel by any significant numbers.

hi all,

i do overland/touring stuff and a fair amount of rock crawling, mainly to get to hard to reach sites. i've already beat the hell out of the underside of the truck more than i ever wanted to doing trails in southern california ...so looking at lift options.

i've pretty much read this thread front to back, and i haven't seen much discussion outside of leveling and technical aspects. i understand there are tradeoffs with all the options listed in the thread.

i'm thinking about doing the max lift RPG perch collar setup @ 3" front and rear. i just want clearance, which this truck definitely doesn't have stock, all other considerations are secondary. keeping factory rake is fine, since i always load the bed w/ about 500 lbs of crap anyway.

i guess my question is this: is there any extra downside to also lifting the rear? is it all the same considerations as collars in the front? is 3" too much for this kind of lift considering ride quality tradeoffs? does premature shock wear increase the more you lift? i'm no engineer.

It sure does. Any change to ride height, regardless of method, requires recalibrating the ride height sensors for optimal performance of suspension and other systems in the car.

By what method should the recalibration take place

So I went to SEMA 2024 last year and spoke with FOX. They showed me the platform that is coming for the R/R and was amazing, it is a plug in play aftermarket OEM fit just like you said. There also releasing a FOX UCA. I will attached the 2024 F150 Raptor's new shock. IT will look just like this,

I called a month or so and asked for an update and they told me the are “working” on it. So no clue. You can go to the website and go to: contact us, go to truck and they will send you to the guy that you can ask.
