Does anyone know if there is a way to activate the side view cameras with a blinker when not towing? My wife's Telluride and my E class AMG both do it and it has me wondering why the RR doesn't? Am I missing a setting? Can I code an option in Forscan (I've looked through the spreadsheets and the option listed seems to only enable the feature when towing which I am assuming is for non-raptor rangers because it was already enabled on mine from factory)? If I hadn't experienced it on other vehicles, I wouldn't question it but it is a nice feature.

Ok I want to say first - I don’t have a RR, but I do have the tech package on my XLT so I have the 360 camera package. Do you have a camera button on the top of the center screen? That is how I turn on my cameras unless they turn on automatically with the sensors detecting me getting close to something. In there I have several options as to which ones I turn on.
I don’t think you can turn them on with the blinker, unless you are in towing mode. But I also don’t use Forscan. So that could be helpful.

Well on my lariat I can activate the side rear looking cameras while driving, but not automaticallly.

I don’t have to be towing, as @natethegreat42 mentioned

if you put one of the 4 plug trailer light testers in the plug it should make you truck think your towing and active the cameras. the down side is you will lose the back up cross traffic alert because it thinks your towing. so helpful but not fully helpful.

Thanks for the responses! I was aware of the ability to manually activate the cameras. And I had the same idea about the tester, but didn't want to lose any functionality. I was really hoping for a method in Forscan. I've posted in that thread as well. I am going to dig a little deeper. I appreciate all the input!

I’m interested in a similar scenario, so I’d love to hear if this is something that can be done.

For me, I back into my garage and love the forward wide angle to get as close to the garage door as possible. The only way to get to that is for the truck to be in drive it would seem. Would be suitable for my scenario that I could select that camera (or really any camera) while in reverse. I realize this is nitpicking, but seems strange that features are blocked.

you also lose the lane centering that comes with adaptive cruise, when you're towing. the truck will make minor corrections if you are veering but it isn't like the normal mode which basically drives for you.

I agree with you. Like the rear camera view that has a big square box in it when driving Forward.

although I understand that at least can be disabled in forscan.
