If you ever take your truck to the dealer Return it to stock If the dealer ever does a update
you will Probably loose your tune
Gonna say that is not true with the Ford Performance tunes, is possibly true with 3rd party aftermarket tunes.

Had it on my 2020 Mustang GT for 7 years, no issues. That tune from Ford Performance also had some hardware changes, and if they ever reset the tune to stock it wouldn't have ran right.

Ford's tunes are easy and hassle free as can be compared to custom tunes.

It is true for Ford Performance tunes, unfortunately. The 26E04 PCM update wipes it if the dealer flashes it. And it will refuse to update OTA if you have the tune installed.

You obviously have no eperience with GooseTuned. The Accessport and the ability to remove or reinstall the tune is a breeze.

Let me know in five years if everyone still agrees and then I'd give them a shot. 7 years of Ford's tune on my Mustang and it was perfect, I trust them a lot more than some forum recommendations at this point. No offense.

The ability to remove and reinstall is also a breeze with Ford's, that's not at advantage GooseTune has over them.

I want a safer tune and I trust the engineering Ford did on their tune one billion times more than GooseTune, as good as they may be.

GooseTuned has a lengthy reputation safely tuning Ecoboost Fords. And you get about twice the HP. It's worth the research, I did. But suit yourself.

Are there any ways to tell if the Ford Performance Tune has been installed other than seat of the pants?

Meaning is there a way to check say a software # or anything electronically?

Thanks in advance.
If the upshift shit patterns have some common sense and aren't totally random

I did the research, for the same reason I didn't use Lund or Livernois or Wengerd on my Mustang I won't use GooseTuned on my Ranger.

Double the HP don't mean much when I worry what the effects are months or years down the road.
I don't worry at all with the Ford Performance tune.
That's worth a little less HP all day long to me.
And you axe your warranty if something happens cuz of the tune, a worry I don't need in my life.

Just like Lund, Wengerd, and all the other tuners out there, if you have issues you are really on your own. They will send some emails or make a phone call to you but in the end they leave you high and dry. No thanks, I'll take the Ford Perf warranty coverage on my brand new truck.

I also can't find any info about GooseTuned going back more than a couple of years, I will definitely pass on using a product so fresh and unproven by time.
