I wonder if someone has take the keypad apart? I believe this is the same keypad

Ah, yes. I figured for 5 numbers, instead of 6. So, 5^6, not 5^5.

EDIT:

My code is only 5 digits long, so I was right, unless other have 6 digits codes.

So I had the pillar wire short recall done and that involves reprogramming the BCM

low and behold a few days later I try my keyless entry pad and nothing. Red light flashes but doors don’t open. Doors don’t lock.

I call my service adviser and she says the BCM shouldn’t be the issue maybe the battery. A little goggle search and I find yeah, likely it is the BCM.

if they want to give me a new battery under warranty, fine,

And just be forewarned you might want to check the functioning of your keyless pad before snd after the BCM firmware update.

Yep. They did this recall on my truck on Monday and today was the first time I tried to use the keypad and it does just what yours are doing, nothing except the little red light flashes.

So they're coming back out here on Tuesday to see what the problem is. My truck has a really snazzy glue on keypad lol. It's not the really nice lighted one that My 12-year-old F-150 had. Seems like Ford is kind of going backwards with this little feature.

I have had this truck for 8 months and I feel like I'm being pecked to death by a duck. Every week there's a problem or recall or something that irritates me.

I keep bringing up my 2014 f150 that I drove without issue for 12 years and then sold it to buy this little drama queen. I dread the day when the warranties run out in 3 years.
