so I picked up my 2025 Ranger XLT on Monday and today I noticed there was no molding on the bed rail along the cab (see photo). Is there supposed to be one? Anyone have the part number? I’m getting a tonneau cover delivered on Friday and want to install it asap but won’t if I have to get my dealer to fix this issue. Thanks in advance. Also if you have a 2025 can you send me a photo of this part on your truck if you have one so I can prove it to my dealer.

1 inch thick rolled black rv foam fills that if your tonneau doesn't come with it. mine came with it and its perfect for sealing that area

If you do a spray-in bedliner you can have the rail sprayed.
IM gonna do the spray in liner eventually.... so I will ask about that when I do....

IMO, don't get it that rail sprayed. If you ever want to install a topper, you may have problems getting the bulkhead gasket to make a good seal,

EDIT: Disregard above comment. I looked at my truck. They sprayed liner on the top of that rail, and my tonneau seals just fine.

My truck came with the drop-in bedliner, which I am not crazy about. It has a front panel that covers that front rail. I just took my bedliner out and discovered a number of areas where the bedliner rubbed through the paint. I am going to leave it out, touch up the paint and install a Lasfit bed mat in its place.

That leaves me with the same front rail issue you noted. I will either spray it with bedliner material, 3D print something or cover the top with bodyside molding like this one on Amazon.

I will likely get a tonneau cover some day soon, so that problem goes away. If anyone else has tried something with the front rail, please share! There are also two threaded holes on that rail that could be used for something.
