Did you have the bed liner spray from the factory? If so, did you have to redrill through the liner spray where the holes are? I just ordered the Kuat mount to do the same, but looked last night and didnt see any holes in the spot like your picture?

The holes were there already and thefFactory bedliner did not cover them up. No drilling needed. Do you have any holes there at all?

I went and looked again and I'm seeing the holes now.

Issuing I'm running into is that I have the Bakflip MX4 tonneau cover and the clamp that holds it on is right by these holes... so even if i planned to take the cover off completely when I mount the bike, the Kuat dirtbag mount would be in the way when i tried puttng the cover back on

Yeah I don't think you can do this Kuat dirtbag route and have a folding cover. Another option is to just mount it to the bed floor, which yeah, would involve drilling. If you can, I'd recommend you go with a hitch mount like a 1UP rack or a Kuat. Its the easiest way to carry/load a bike, and can work with a variety of bikes. Imo, the only reason I can find to not go with a hitch rack is if you don't like the look.

Honestly I just hate losing the rear sensor when backing up with it. and having to take it off to store it when im not using it since im in a condo with parking garage

I have a Kuat hitch mount and I’m with you. Hate losing sensors, removing it, etc.

I got the Adarac and added fork mounts. Works great and the rack is versatile. Happy with the setup.

Best $30 bike rack ever 😂 yeah it's annoying taking the wheel off but whatever. I'm not into hitch racks so this is my preferred route.

Kuat Dirtbag mounts perfectly to the pre-drilled holes on the driver side specifically. You'll need an Allen wrench and a bit of patience to reach the bolt between the bed and the cabin.

Also my bike is a size 57 and a bit of a long wheelbase, but it fits just right to the tailgate for reference but you can technically angle the bike if it's longer I guess.

Do you have any information on the bolts used to secure the mount to the bed? They look perfectly sized for the job.

I don't, but I just measured the holes on the truck and brought the Kuat mount in with me to Ace Hardware. Nothing special.

I can't imagine the hassle of lifting our bikes up onto an over bed rack.
I have a hitch rack on the 5th wheel, then I pull it off and stick it on my truck if I need to haul the bikes somewhere when camping, takes a minute. Easy to lift the bikes onto it. We've put it on the wife's car a few times too.
Bed mounts needing to remove the front wheels, can't have stuff in the bed, no thanks.
If you get rear ended with tailgated bikes, bed mount bikes, or a hitch rack, the bikes still get creamed. Been driving since 1975, haven't been rear ended yet. Knock on wood...
I've been backing up pickups for more than 50 years without sensors so I don't understand that objection either.
Hitch mount rack works well and is easy, I'll use the one I have on the RR.

my buddies bike fell off his overhead rack on the highway. that has never happened on my hitch mount rack.

i have had my front tire bounce out of hte bed when hitting a rough bump with an in-bed mount. that sucked but luckily the wheel bounced out and hit the ground in the direction that it rolled instead of taco'ing.
