Anyone find one that fits the Raptor yet? I know painting is an option but I’ve never modded/painted a vehicle before (especially a brand new high end one) and would much rather find black clamp on exhaust tips instead of painting and/or cutting and welding new ones on

The OEM ones are welded on so regardless if you want to do black clamp on you are going to have to cut off the factory exhaust tips.

I got this for my 22 Frontier and it just went right over the factory exhaust - is that not possible for the Ranger?

Yeah I definitely don’t want to cut anything on a brand new truck. I know some people on here are all about it but I’m a novice modder if I may

thinking I’ll probably end up just painting them black.

Saw the ones from australia for 276636627 billion zillion trillion dollars. Because ya know..... gotta make back the RnD cost of 10 labor hours it took some bro to tig weld, mandrel bend and powder coat a couple pipes. But the bigger issue is, take a look under the truck. Ford was nice enough to include this feature known as INCONVENIENCE. Specifically look behind the exhaust tip. Welded. Further up, welded again at a resonator, then again, then again. Its all one piece, so unless you wanna chop yours off, drop the exhaust, and weld new ones back on we are pretty fucked. Someone is welcome to try to paint them while on the truck, lemme know how you perform that miricle.

The fact that the factory system is fully welded to me is a good thing - it’s a sign they actually didn’t want to cut costs in this department. Inconvenient for “modding”, sure, but that shouldn’t be an OEMs primary goal!

I plan to go black at some point, but told myself I need to live with the truck for a while before making any changes like that for a few reasons. Primarily because I want to learn the truck and get to know it and see what I actually want to change and what may grow on me. And secondly, because I want to appreciate the changes I make when I make them. I’ve found that when I too a lot fast, I never fully appreciate the benefits of what I just did. Just my two cents.

But as of now, the tips still feel more mustang and less raptor to me…so I think black would solve that and I don’t see my opinion changing too much there. Could also just cut the system super clean in a sensual spot? take off the visible part of the back section, powder coat, and then clamp back up. That’s an option to keep OE setup and achieve the right look.

Sharing an option for those wanting black exhaust tips. Removed mine this weekend and had them powder coated from the resonator to the tip. Turned out great so will see how it holds up to the heat. I couldn’t find any other options and the OEM exhaust is good enough in my opinion. Exactly what the black RR needed

That seems to be the way to go. I'm curious to see how it holds up to road debris and rocks getting kicked up from the tires.

Thanks for sharing - this may be a happy middle ground for me as well. Do you have any pics further back of the rear and side for reference? That would be helpful. Also, what did this run you, assuming you do removal on your own? Adding 2-400 range? Thanks again!

I’ll attempt to get better pics this evening and will share once done. I took them off and put them back on, under 30 minutes combined and super easy. Total cost was $275 for the powder coating and that was primarily due to a Sunday single job and firing the oven with only my exhaust. I would think market price with other jobs would be much lower but I didn’t want the truck down during the week.

That’s a massive upgrade in appearance - looks awesome, thanks for sharing!

Ford should have just integrated these tips better into the bumper, like they have done for other dual rear facing tips…but this is a good and reasonably priced solution. Thank you!
