What program can your read the file in that you have to download?
I think when you type in your vin when your trucks being built/is it’ll populate showing the truck “come alive”. Not sure ya have to download anything. I’m waiting for that day still! @Wags can you answer this?

yeah as @Wayfaring Ranger said you don't need to download anything. Once they start building your truck you will see a bunch of stuff listed under it. But you have to wait till your build date is confirmed by a checkmark and not just a green dot. I got the checkmark about a week before they started building it.

If you look at my signature you can see all my previous build dates. So just because you have a build date it can still get bumped. Once you get the checkmark next to "Scheduled Week" you should be good to go.

Try this:

https://forscan.org/home.html

What is FORScan?

FORScan is a software scanner for Ford, Mazda, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles, designed to work over ELM327 (please read the important note below) and J2534 Pass-Thru compatible adapters.

Ford Ranger Built -> Shipped -> Final Prep main_on
Ford Ranger Built -> Shipped -> Final Prep main1_new_en
Ford Ranger Built -> Shipped -> Final Prep main_on
FORScan Lite for iOS
FORScan for Windows
FORScan Lite for Android

There are many OBD2 scanners, but does FORScan somehow differ? Yes, because it is designed especially for Ford, Mazda, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles. So supports specific features of the manufacturer protocols, making the FORScan more powerful in work with these models than any regular OBD2 scanner.

For example, FORScan can detect modules which are not visible for regular OBD2 scanners, it can show you and reset trouble codes which are never displayed by OBD2 scanners. FORScan can show you PIDs which are not supported by any OBD2 scanner, and also run specific tests and service procedures. Version of FORScan for Windows can also perform configuration and programming functions. In other words, FORScan can do things that regular OBD2 scanners can not do.

Main features

  • Detect vehicle on-board network configuration
  • Read and reset Diagnostic Trouble Codes from all modules (see list of supported modules)
  • Reading of modules' sensors' data
  • Run test diagnostic procedures
  • Run service procedures
  • Configuration and programming functions (only in FORScan for Windows, require Extended License)

    Supported vehicles:

  • Ford, Lincoln, Mercury models of 1996 - 2023MY (some models of 1994-1995MY are also supported). Attention: Some 2023MY Ford models may not be indentified (we work on it). FORScan may support limited set of functions and configuration parameters for brand new 2021-2023MY models (we work on it). 2024MY Ford and Lincoln models are not supported!
  • Mazda models of 1996 - 2022MY up to 6G (inclusively). Attention: Mazda 7G models (new Mazda 3, CX-30, MX-30, CX-50 etc) are supported partially or not supported at all!
  • Vehicles other than Ford, Mazda, Lincoln, Mercury are not supported!

Please check for availability of necessary function before purchasing anything.

    Supported adapters :
  • OBDLink EX USB, recommended USB adapter for Windows version of FORScan, also for configuration and programming functions
  • OBDLink MX+ BT, recommended Bluetooth adapter for Lite versions of FORScan (iOS, Android)
  • vLinker FS USB, recommended USB adapter for Windows version of FORScan, also for configuration and programming functions
  • vLinker FD BT, recommended Bluetooth adapter for FORScan Lite for Android
  • OBDLink SX/LX/MX
  • ELS27 (STN1170/2120)
  • ELM327-compatible (fully compatible with original ELM327, please also see important note below)
  • J2534 Pass-Thru

Important note: after many years of continued project development, even those of few ELM327 that have relatively good quality, ceased to meet all of the FORScan requirements. Besides, majority of the adapters that are being sold under ELM327 trademark have quite dubious quality that dropped a lot in the past: in fact, they have nothing common with the famous "ELM327" brand but name. Thus we do not recommend any "ELM327" anymore. If possible, please use adapters recommended above (OBDLink, vLinker). FORScan will continue to support ELM327 adapters, but some new functionality may be limited or refuse to work on outdated adapters.
    Supported protocols and bus:
  • FORD HS CAN
  • FORD MS CAN (only for J2534-2, CANtieCAR, OBDLink EX/MX/MX+, ELS27 or modified ELM327)
  • FORD SCP
  • FORD 9141
  • FORD UBP (only for Ford VCMII)

    Supported modules:
Almost all of modules availabe through supported protocols. Full list is here.

As of today I can "activate" the truck via the app, although part of that process is accepting a prompt on the headunit so it won't work fully unless a worker decides to be cheeky.

Mine was that until today.

Now after clicking it, it says "Activation Pending -- Connected features are being enabled". Then you can click "activation pending" and it describes instructions for accepting it on the headunit.

Not sure how mine is working before yours, you were in production before me 🤔

Glad I noticed this post. A few weeks back several ppl with the same scheduled week of 1/8/24 reported their truck being moved to in production. My in production stage was updated on Friday 1/5/24. Stayed that way all of the following week then the In Production was updated again on Friday 1/12/24. No changes since.

I see info for the BCE Modules and it does list a Tear Tag.
Still no window sticker for it.

I received the same email from Ford on the 18th saying it was almost build, parts delayed blah blah blah.

Original order was on July 2nd. I was the first order at the dealership I went to. I believe my original build week was for Sept 18th.

I have an XLT with the spray Bed and several upgrades with the advance tow and tech package.

I was hoping I would get it before my trip to the mountain in early Feb. but it doesn't appear that it will be ready.

Word is they won't start shipping till late March, as Ford finally has a media event scheduled for mid-march and we likely won't see any till those videos go live.

Also from what I've read, your truck can be "built" but not in the "built" stage (in the tracker) until it basically gets shipped. Not sure why, just what i've seen browsing the bronco forums.

Browsing the bronco forums, they have broncos that went to "in production" and "built" on the same day this week (1/25) and then was shipped by 1/26.

Given this is all on the same line, i'm guessing the delays we're seeing is either increased QA on a 1st model year vehicle and/or delaying till the media event, like we've been thinking.

This is the thread I was looking at over there: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/bronco-build-week-1-22-2024.86418/page-22

These trucks will not move till Ford give the OK to buy to dealers which will not happen till they are happy with quality per day coming from the plant and press drives which are scheduled the middle of March. The same thing happened to 24 Mustang. Ford is trying to slow the recall processes after new model launch.
