Cigarette Lighter Socket Won't Stay Hot

I need this to stay hot while I am towing my Ranger Raptor behind my RV to power my Brake Buddy. I have a charge line from the RV to keep the battery from draining, but the 12 volt will turn off. I know on my Jeeps there was a way to change the fuse position to keep this always hot.

Are you plugging into the 12v socket that's in the arm-rest? To prevent having wires running from the USB ports under the center display, I use the 12v socket under the arm rest for my phone charging, that socket does not power down when I'm plugged into it.

I am plugging into the 12v adapter (cigarette lighter) that is at the bottom of the console.

If you want the 12V socket to remain hot with the engine off you'll have to do some rewiring. Much easier to just add a socket directly to the battery and stash it in the glove box when not in use, as I suggested in post #10. There is a big rubber plug on each side of the firewall intended for passing wires thru into the cab, and there are spare studs on the battery for adding accessories as well as a stud on the fender for the negative.

That was the thought I had. I was hoping there was a was to reposition the fuse in the fusebox similar to my Jeeps that I have had in the past. It was a 3-position fuse socket where it could be ignition or always hot depending upon the position of the fuse. I will likely use a socket with one of the six factory aux switches assuming I can make one of them hot all the time. Thanks.
