My brand new ranger did not come with a tow hitch. Not the biggest of deal aftermarket tends to be a lot better and stronger anyway as it mounts directly to the frame. I went with the Curt Hitch I've used them on past vehicles very high quality. This was probably the easiest vehicle I've ever put a hitch on. I was done in probably 15 minutes. All you have to do is use to c clamps pinch both sides of the bumper brackets not my picture I took, this one off of etrailer.com loosen four bolts take them out put the hitch up get the bolts started tighten them down and then torqued them to spec with a torque wrench. All I'm towing is my double jet ski trailer and my utility trailer.

I have owned a few SUV's over last 20 years and they all came with the hitch as standard equipment, yet I buy a new pickup truck and it didnt have a hitch? ....so I also bought the Curt hitch.
Compared to the money that ford wants for their hitch.....the Curt is a steal!

Texas Truck Channel did a hitch install on theirs. I think they used Curt as well. Seemed straightforward enough:

Compra un tiron marca HUSKY. Los hacen en guadalajara. Mercadolibre. Queda bien.

NO USES EMPALMES/GRAPAS.

DEBES SOLDAR. No cortes cables.

NO LOS CORTES. solo desforralos y solda.

Saludos. tony.

Will this hitch and ball be OK for a 2025 XLT? Or should I get one with more drop? I will be ordering the Curt tow hitch to install.

Nice! I ended up doing the Curt hitch as well, except instead of c-clamps I just grabbed some big bolts with nuts and washers for that spot, worked just as well!
