Digital Key in Forscan

Just a thought, is there any way digital key can be turned on in Forscan or something for our Ranger Raptors?

That is where you can use your cell phone as a full key replacing the key fob. Like Tesla and I believe the Mustang Mach E has it.

well you can remote start with your phone and remote unlock with your phone.

no Forscan needed

Can you than drive with just your phone?

I am not sure I want to try.

No you can't use the phone as a replacement for the key fob. I was just wandering if there were settings in Forscan that might enable it. Of course, I am not sure all of the required hardware is there.

another thing the lariat and raptor guys will get that us lowly xl/clt guys wish we could have, ha ha ha. that would be super cool to just have it in the phone case and not have to worry about the fob anymore

Yes. A device with a battery life of hours without charging and easy enough to destroy with a fall from a table, or a device with a battery life of years that takes up almost no room and is virtually indestructible? I'll take the key fob over this bone headed idea every time.

Interesting point about the phone but in all honesty, I don't think I have ever broken a phone especially where it didn't function. I am not saying to get rid of the fobs, I just feel in this day and age, it should have the ability and be an option.
Super J has an idea. I just don't know what the QI charging would do to it. LOL

I also dont lose or break phones. And i carried my phone cycling all over south texas. it could have easily fallen and gotten lost while riding in race groups and on 100 miles evejts across parts of texas but i am very careful. I also haven't lost it on helicopter test flights/ride alongs with doors open so ee could film amd take pics.

I actually am still on a samsung galaxy s20 that i have had for so long, i dont remember when i bought it. Same with all the previous phones. I generally get new phones because they lose support or the battery stops working so i do think using the phone would be super easy.

I under stand the worry but thats on that person. Not everyone else
