I’ve seen it talked about in this forum before, but has anyone come up with a reason why you have to slam the door to get it to shut properly. Or an actual solution on how to fix it? Does the door need to be adjusted? It’s frustrating for my wife and kids who can never get it fully shut.

Doors are correctly aligned, The problem is the in cab pressures are not releasing. If you open the window and shut door softly it shuts fine which is why I'm saying the pressures are the issue.

is there a way to release some of the pressure? Isn’t there a vent behind the back seats? I’m not mad that it’s such a tight seal, seems like there should be a way to release it a bit.

I took mine to the body shop. They readjusted the door catch and now they shut way easier. it's something you can probably do from home with the right hex bit.

Do you know what they did exactly?

Hello, Nick. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to see how I can assist you with this door concern.

I am also having an issue with the front passenger not shutting unless you slam it.
My closest Ford dealer is Ford of Boerne in Boerne TX. 10 minutes away.
Actually, purchased vehicle at Maxwell Ford in Austin TX. 90 minutes away.
VIN number is 1FTER4KH5RLE09886.
Thanks
