Driveline vibration 2024 xlt fx4

I am having a bad vibration around 45 to 60 mph. The dealer said this is normal but I disagree. I bought a dial indicator and found the shaft to be .050 runout. They said it was engine lug, but it has the same vibration in neutral. Rotated the tires the same vibration. Three months ago the did fix my driveline shudder with a plate installed at my center bearing. The driveline angle was out. I sent them a video you can see the wobble at low speed. Has anyone had this issue? I attached the video. Does not seem normal to me.

I had a similar issue on my 2024 XLT with the 2.3L. I felt an engine vibration at idle and something else in the driveline at speed. The dealer balanced the tires then said it was normal. I then took it to Discout Tire for a road force balance. That cleaned up a lot of it, but I still felt a slight disturbance (once you tune in to a vibration, you will always be sensitive to it).

I discovered that the air filter housing was not seated properly, so engine vibration transmitted throughout the body. I reseated the housing, placed rubber washers under each bolt and moves a hard cooling line away from the air filter housing. That took care of the engine.

On my third visit to the dealer, they assigned my vehicle to a more experienced tech. They claim it was similar to other new Rangers on their lot and said "no problem found." I did discover they performed a transmission relearn, but did not note it on the repair order. No doubt they wanted to limit any lemon law evidence! EIther way, this seemed to do the trick. This was around 5,000 miles. Now with 11,000 miles, my truck is pretty smooth. Personally, I think the calibration gets the transmission to high gear as soon as possible, causing some engine lugging. Either way, my truck seems good at this point.

Anyone have the driveshaft run-out limit per a Ford maintenance manual? I'd suspect what's shown in the video is out limit.

The dealer gave it to me, .026. I measured out of spec. I also ruled out engine lug. When going down the road the vibration is still there in neutral or a lower gear. The dealer sent me a video of a new truck drive shaft wobbling, but the video I attached was noticeably more wobble.

You could run your truck 75-80mph (gear selection doesn't matter) and take notice of any vibration. At this speed, that driveshaft could produce a very noticeable high-freq vibration. If nothing different, this driveshaft may not be the problem.

I am going to the dealer and getting a new driveshaft installed tomorrow. Hopefully this addresses the issue. This repair will be on top of a plate that was installed to stop the low speed shudder I had from new. The vibration is really bad now.

How did it go with the drive shaft replacement, issue gone?

Dealer received the wrong driveshaft. It was for a Transit.....so waiting for the correct shaft. Hopefully next week the vibration is getting worse.

Ok, have the new driveshaft installed the 45 mph vibration is gone. But the dealer left out the spacers from my low speed vibration at 17 mph. The spacers were from a ford transit tsb. The spacers went under the driveshaft carrier bearing. The dealer is mailing the spa ers to me and I will reinstall them. The spacers corrected my out of spec driveline angles.

What is the thickness of those spacers?
