Love everything about my 2025 Ford Ranger...except for ease of entering vehicle on driver side. There's no overhead pull on the driver side. I have to use the steering wheel to enter my truck. For a guy just over 200lbs. entry is a small chore. Previously I had a 2025 Ford Maverick. Smaller truck but easy getting into the driver seat.

I use the step and feel like a giant at 6'3" standing on them to get in and I also use the wheel as a grab handle. Looking for a better solution that still offers protection.

You have steps? I feel like the steps make it harder. Truck isn’t big enough to need them but my kids do for now.

Yes, there is a step rail that came stock with my STX model Ford Ranger.

Has anyone researched to see if the left side grab handle from a RHD model will work with a NA model?

I believe there's an airbag in the DS A-pillar.
Plus the structure/attachment points for the handle probably aren't present.

Check your seat height adjustment. When I got my 24 Ranger I was surprised at how difficult it was to get into, and I'm only 5'9". Come to find out the seat height was all the way up and I had to duck to get in. With it in a lower setting I can just slide right in without climbing in or ducking to clear the door frame up by the roof.

The driver's seat and dash area has bad geometry. I'm 6 foot and have trouble with this.

I can lower the seat so I can slip in under the wheel, but then the wheel is too high to see the info at the bottom of the gauge cluster.

Or, I can lower the wheel to see the gauges clearly but than I can't slip my legs under the wheel easily.

The lower the seat is the lower the wheel needs to be to see the gauges, blocking easy access with my legs at any adjustment.

The higher the seat is the higher the wheel needs to be to clear my legs and is now the wheel is blocking my vision at any adjustment.

I don't know, maybe it's just me.

I'm actually happy there's no grab handle, I knock my hat off a lot of times getting in, I'd be getting whacked upside the forehead if that handle was there.

I agree about the bad geometry, the seat goes so low you can't see out! If I lower it till the mirror isn't blocking my view reaching up to the wheel isn't comfortable. If I move the seat fwd a touch the reach improves but the pedals are too close. If the pedals were adjustable or the column would telescope farther it would help. I do hate that huge mirror housing.

I don’t have a problem. I’m 6’1” and 185 lbs. I don’t use the running boards or the steering wheel. I do tilt my head to the left before I enter. A technique I started when I had my 16 tacoma.

No problems here. I'm 5' 10'', 185 lbs. and turn 70 later this month.
Left foot on the running board, left hand on the door arm rest for balance and then step in with right foot leading.
This method also minimizes wear and tear on the bottom outer seat bolster.
Thankfully I don't feel my age yet 🤞
