[2024 FORD RANGER 4X4]

Hello all,

I have noticed that my truck does a shudder from a stop just like the last generation ranger. I have also noticed that if it's in eco or normal mode it lugs so bad when crusing, not to mention if you have to come to a stop quick the transmission acts like it can't shift down quick enough. Also, on the highway when going up hills unless its downshifts a ton it almost feels like a misfire/ shudder. Has anyone else had these issues?

Same issues from day one dealer said Trans is still learning. After the first 1k miles it has gotten better but still noticeable. Gonna drive if for a few more months see if it smooths out

Can either of the previous owners provide an update on how the Transmission shudder evolved (improved, resolved, worsened) since your last posts? Just bought a 2024 FX4 that has the said shudder starting from a stop or after accelerating from a coast since day one from driving it off the lot. Would appreciate your feedback and suggestions.

Anyone have an insight on the transmission feeling like it doesn’t downshift fast enough? I have a 25 XLT with the 2.3 and I have also noticed this if I’m making a stop quicker than a gradual one. Feels a bit like the transmission is still pushing. Was curious if this was normal or not.

Yes, it shifts odd. As you put some mikes on it, it gets better.

I bought the ford procal and it made the shifting so much better. Mine wasnt bad though

Yes I have the same issues have you had your truck fixed. Mines a 2.7 with 15,000 miles
