Factory Fog Lights on 25 XLT FX4, issue or not?

Just noticed that when my lights are on auto, the driver side fog lighjt is on? I have to then hit the fog light button twice and the passenger side one comes on? Both work, but odd that only the river is one unless I hit the button a second time. Both do work? Normal or not?

Wow you have seen this? So I am not crazy. Maybe others don't realize it, as I just noticed as I pulled out this morning and got out of the truck and looked at the front end, I thought I had one out? I pushed the button a second time and both came on? Very odd, hoping someone else can confirm, or found a fix if needed.

I don't think the XLT has the lights that turn upon making a turn, but I think the Lariat and Raptor do. Interested to see what anyone else has to say!

XLT definitely has the corner illumination utilizing the fog lights. My understanding is that the Raptor (and maybe Lariat) have the same feature, but use the headlights for corner illumination rather than the fogs.

I don't think my 24 XLT has the issue described above. Both lights turn on with one press of the fog button.

I just looked at all the documentation and owners manual as well feature guide, no indication that the Ranger comes with corner illumination for fog lights, headlights on upper trim, but not XLT?

I have a 24 XLT Fx4 and the fog lights act are used a cornering lights when you steer left or right. I doesn’t take much movement for them to activate when steering. So you wheel may be slightly turned and when you hit the switch you are activating the fog lights which then deactivates the turn feature since both lights are now in the on position.

Yep, XLT FX4. Got out of my truck early one morning and thought one of the fogs were burnt out. But then I turned the wheel to straight, the light went out, turn in to the right, right fog came on.

No shit!!!! Same here, now I have to wait until tonight to check that out. I literally just pulled out of my garage last night but I do turn left, thus might be why the driver side was on and not the passenger side. I sure hope that is it, would make sense and easy my concerns!!! thanks.

Hmm ! interesting. I think that will be one of my checks when I receive my 2025 Ranger XLT.
It would be interesting to know if the Fog Lights working independently have a purpose.
If not its a good Quality Control indicator. Maybe,

My 2024 XLT FX4 has the lights that turn on for cornering.
I found that out when my son watched as I backed up at night. He thought a bulb was out until I turned the opposite direction.
