I use google maps with Android Auto and all my directions come up on the instrument panel.

Maybe it's just dependent on the device you're using.

Apple Phone + Apple Carplay = IP GPS
Android/Google Phone + Google Maps = IP GPS

I have an XLT, so maybe the smaller IP screen doesn’t allow it?
I’ve tried going through all the settings but no luck to get Google maps to display directions on my IP

I use constant power into a relay with timer I purchased from Amazon. I have it set to automatically turn off after 2 hours, if I forget.

Good thinking! I didn't know those exist. Did you find power in or near the bed?

Mine shows the next turn and distance to turn. I think there was an IPC setting I had to enable to get it to show up first though.

I haven't put my thumb drive back into the new truck yet, are these settings easily accessible or is it a Forscan fix? All my other vehicles it was plug and play, just select usb drive as my source.

Music will play from a USB drive as expected. This is just the way to format the drive itself for best compatibility.

That said, even when it's done properly, the USB experience in this vehicle is somewhat ... Inefficient, and less than reliable.

if you drive with your auto headlights on and fog lamps off, at low speeds while turning greater than 20 or so degrees, the fog light on the side you are turning will activate and simulate a cornering lamp to illuminate your path.

…and when you’re not quite lined up right with your parking space onlookers can enjoy the disco light show as you’re backing it in struggling with you’re steering wheel.

***Rolling the windows down remotely***

As you approach your truck, press the "unlock" button on your remote twice, holding the button down on the second press. A few seconds later, all windows will roll down if you continue to hold the button. I love this feature in the summer months to cool down the interior of my truck before I get in.

Actually for those that haven't realized it yet, there is a manual! Ford just cheaped out and doesn't provide them any more. I'll bet Farley has never sat there with the p.o.s. On Screen manual trying to find an answer to things. I just got the printed 2025 Ford Ranger Owner's manual from Bishko, although you do have to call them for new manuals as they are trying to update their inventory system right now. You can also get them from Helm Inc. but they are also $20 more expensive. Also picked up the Owners manual for the wife's 2025 Powerboost. I'd love to watch the Ford engineers trying to find an answer to a Powerboost question in the On Screen manual, I was ready to punch that screen right in the face.... Well worth buying the manual, and I heartily recommend calling Bishko who incidentally has a great selection of manuals for older vehicles as well.

This isn't a tip or trick but it sure is a secret to me...found this today under my back seat in the storage compartment on the driver's side. Wondering if it was supposed to be mounted in a Bronco ? I have all of my seat belts, this isn't configured for the middle jump seat in my RR.

Fawnbuster, if your thumb drive worked in another vehicle, it should work with the new truck. I copied music from my computer to a USB drive w/o formatting it and it works fine.

ran a dedicated power wire from the battery to the bed. Plan to install a dc/dc charger at some point.
