If you truck has the option there are 2 easy ways to check. Etched on the driver's side window is an up and down arrow. You can also check the info screen. Click the vehicle symbol at the very top of the screen and scroll down until you see "windows". If you don't see "windows" it is missing something in the programing. As I stated previously, my dealer tried w/o success to get mine working. They contacted Ford Tech and was told Ford is working on a fix.

Ive never tinted a vehicle, but was under the impression you could get ceramic film with zero tint and still reap the benefit of heat protection. Other than aesthetics, seems like the best option to me.

I haven't prior to my ranger purchase and MAN, the difference it makes in oncoming headlight glare is well worth it alone. Bright sunny texas days are much more forgiving on the eyes compared to a naked windshield.

Useless Tip: When using Apple CarPlay and max HVAC, the fan speed will temporarily slow/stop so you can hear text messages read aloud and allow you to respond.

if you hit the + - button in the side of rhe shifter while in drive, the gear you are in shows up under the PRNDM on the left side.

if you keep pressing the (-) button you can lock out higher gears, all the way down to 1. Im not talking about manual shifting. It’s still in auto but you for example lock out 5th and up and it will only shift 1-4.
Handy pulling/hauling a heavy load as tow/haul mode will not keep it from up shifting. Also handy if the tranny is having issues in upper gears as a temp fix. Used this on my f150 work truck until the boss could get a visit to the dealer scheduled.

I have a working therapy dog who travels with me to work every day, so I’m always concerned about the temperature, as well as keeping nosy people from easily seeing inside. I have 15% tint on the doors, and 50% on the windshield.
It’s so much easier to cool down the truck quickly after sitting in the sun all day. I can also turn it off for several minutes if I’m getting gas and the temperature barely changes before I get back in. It also does a great job of preserving the interior.

If you open your door while stopped or just hit stop button when parked then the truck will put itself in park for you.

I'm waiting for something like on an android tablet where you can unlock developer mode by tapping on the software version number 10 times. wonder if there's any kind of secret service menu in sync if you tap or hold buttons in a certain manner on the screen?

Sorta. There's a Bezel Diagnostics menu you can access. Press VOLUME DOWN + PREVIOUS TRACK buttons simultaneously to access menu.

Also along that note, if your infotainment screen locks up and nothing seems to work, press VOLUME DOWN + SKIP TRACK buttons simultaneously and the screen will reset without having to shut off vehicle and restart.

Anyways, here's a screen shot of the Bezel Diagnostics screen. There are a lot of options to scroll through, can test all sorts of things like screen pixels, speaker tests, etc:

***Rolling the windows down remotely***

As you approach your truck, press the "unlock" button on your remote twice, holding the button down on the second press. A few seconds later, all windows will roll down if you continue to hold the button. I love this feature in the summer months to cool down the interior of my truck before I get in.

You can roll the windows up remotely too by using the lock button instead. Note that rolling up and down the windows cannot be done once remote start is activated.

if you drive with your auto headlights on and fog lamps off, at low speeds while turning greater than 20 or so degrees, the fog light on the side you are turning will activate and simulate a cornering lamp to illuminate your path.

Tailgate has a bottle opener on the side when it’s down

if you don’t have the built in garage door opener on the visor, you can mount one hidden above the wireless charging pad with a command strip/tape

Apple Maps will display directions in the IP while google maps only displays in the center screen

4x8 plywood sheets are easy to transport leaning them over the tailgate

This is something that isn't mentioned too often, as most seem to satisfy themselves with their phones, somehow.

Formatting your USB drive for music playback:

1: Formatting the drive in EXFAT works fine.

2: Root>Artist>Album>Files

3: Name your album art cover.jpg, and include it in the Album folder with the music files.

4: FLAC files are supported, among others

I haven't put my thumb drive back into the new truck yet, are these settings easily accessible or is it a Forscan fix? All my other vehicles it was plug and play, just select usb drive as my source.

If you set your power mirrors to close automatically, when you lock the truck they will close and you can get a visual confirmation that you did indeed, lock the truck.

the visor will slide sideways to extend, handy if you move it over to block the sun from the side window.

although there is no 12 volt outlet in the bed, the connector underneath bed has 12 volt power, so it is possible to add it, somewhat easily

(still figuring out the most elegant solution for this)

the am/fm antenna that sticks up high above the cab can be replaced with stubby antenna or even just a bolt and cap if you don’t like radio stations

the key fob can be used to open or close all side Windows, but not the rear sliding window

I was disappointed that there not a 12 volt plug in the bed, I could swear I thought it used to have one next to the 110v...
