I'm going to have to agree with myself on this one. You can see perfectly fine out of the windshield, and with the windows down, can see perfectly well into the vehicle.

I'll be the first to admit that this doesn't look very dark, and on a sunny day i'm sure it's fine. But this discussion is going to be a lot like the debate over motorcyclists wearing helmets, where many don't wear them and are fine but that doesn't make it a good idea. Or maybe like drinking and driving, where if you don't drink "too much" you're fine.

I work a lot with our local EMT's and township employees and interact with our local police regularly. While it's a small portion of the population who get windshields tinted, they represent over 60% of the deer strikes and police are starting to issue citations and take note of who applied the tinting and interestingly, who performed the state safety inspections.

Ive never tinted a vehicle, but was under the impression you could get ceramic film with zero tint and still reap the benefit of heat protection. Other than aesthetics, seems like the best option to me.

I think the lightest I've seen was 90% light transmission, which is about the same VLT as most factory windshields, IIRC. It's about a clear as you can get and still get IR rejection.

I used heavy duty Velcro strips to mount mine.

Useless tip- hitting one of the seat memory recall buttons while using cruise control will turn off the lane keep assist

I searched for a thread that covered the subject line above and found nothing, so I will start the one secret that I know of.

***Rolling the windows down remotely***

As you approach your truck, press the "unlock" button on your remote twice, holding the button down on the second press. A few seconds later, all windows will roll down if you continue to hold the button. I love this feature in the summer months to cool down the interior of my truck before I get in.

I need more info on how to get the windows to roll down with the key fob, cause I sure couldn't get it to work in the 100 times I tried yesterday
