Hi Everyone, new to the forum.
I’ve recently purchased a 2023 Ranger wildtrak, 22k miles.
I bought it from a family member and know its history.
It’s got a few messages come up on the dash, pre collision assist not available and front camera malfunction, service required.
can anyone point me in the right direction to eliminate these? I know the previous had a minor collision with a wall but I can’t see anything broke.
I’ve got the extended license of Forscan.
Thanks

Was the vehicle repaired after its collision with the wall? Who repaired it? Was any parts replaced?

its under warranty still so you could always take it in to be looked at?

no, nothing repaired or replaced. The lower valance is cracked. Would Ford entertain looking at it under warranty if it’s been in a minor bump?

Looking at the damage then I would definitely say something is broken. There would have been a lot of force put on the radar sensor and components behind the grill. It may have been a minor bump, but the vehicle weighs almost 2.5tonnes (metric) so there would have been a lot of force behind a simple bump

In the end you’re getting errors about components exactly where the damage is. I would say repairs are needed

And no, with visible damage like that no way warranty would cover any faults

That’s fair enough.
so you think to have a look at the radar first? I can’t find how to check the degree it’s at with Forscan.
why would the camera fault come up if the damage is on the grille but the camera is up behind the windscreen?

The camera will also come on if the windshield is really dirty by the mirror

Pretty sure the whole safety systems are all tied together - So if any one is down the system is degraded and will probably throw the error

Do you have any codes on Forscan? It may tell you what module is not working?

Does anyone know if Forscan do calibrate this or does it require IDS?
