I just completed a trip from Michigan to South Dakota and back for a total of 1905 miles. I now have 4276 miles on my 2025 Lariat with a 2.7L. Up until this trip most of my driving was non-highway. I am very satisfied with an average 27.1 MPG for the trip (see picture). I was expecting maybe 24 MPG tops. My lifetime average MPG is 23.4 over all types of driving. On the highway I had the cruise set to 65 to 70 MPH. I ran the entire trip in ECO mode with auto stop/start disabled. It was just me, wife and dog and a little bit of luggage. Anyone else seeing 27 MPG?

Not even close. I am at 21mpg. My morning commute is 5 miles at 38mph with cruise control on. 3-4 stops depending on lights. I am not happy with it. My 6.7L cummins got 23+mpg.

Back in July I did a trip from Michigan to Montana with a stop in Custer, SD. I have a 24 Lariat 2.3 and I averaged 24.5 for the trip. I was happy considering I was doing 75-80 most of the drive. I think my lifetime mpg is about 21.8 mpg.

Imo, 21 mpg is excellent for your driving. Mine is about 19mpg with similar driving.

But on a long trip similar to the OP... same distance, load, speed, etc., I averaged a tick over 30mpg.

2024 Lariat FX4 with 2.7 Ecoboost.

I was able to achieve 29.5 MPG going Central Florida to Central Maryland across 950 miles on I-95. I have the 2.3L engine.
