First pass at the dragstrip

Had to pick up a set of tires for my Mustang at Summit Dragway in Norwalk , Oh today and test and tune was in session.
Did a pass with full tank of fuel, spare, tools, and factory bead lock wheels and BFG's and the Ford performance tune.
Temp was 85 and 55% humidity today.
Put it in sport mode, 2 wheel drive and traction control on with a 14.2 ETA.
Was going for second pass but a car wrecked and shutdown the track for more than an hour.
Going to go again and 1/4 tank, no spare, no tools to get a more competitive numbers.
Might even try to pick up some Ford performance rims and put a sticky street tire on to see if it can pull a 13.5

Nice. I live about 40 minutes from that track. It gets crazy there and it takes forever to get a run in. I went several years back with my bud in our 5.0's an were there 8 hours and got 2 runs in each.

I took my '97 cobra to Dragway 42 which is about an hour away an I did so many runs I stopped because I was afraid I'd break something and it was my ride home.

Back in the day my old hang out was Detroit Dragway in Brownstown Michigan at Sibley and Dix. Back then your time would have been great for a stock truck.

I remember their promo ads on CKLW, "Sunday, Sunday at Detroit Dragway." The first drag race I ever went to was at Detroit Dragway when I 10.
My hangout when I started driving was Milan Dragway, Plank Road exit, Milan, Michigan.

Grew up just north Toledo, Oh and spent a lot time at Milan.
Track is still open but I have not been there in 25 years.
Only live 15 minutes from Summit dragway in Norwalk.

Years ago when that reality show Pinks was big they went to Milan. My buddy went and said the crowd was insane.
