I can imagine that would help. It's too bad the bolt heater is not cheaper. I proved I needed the right tool for the job, which I did not have.
I was in the same boat, I figured it was cheaper than taking it to the shop. After 30mins with it nearly stripped out and lots of channel lock bite marks later, it came out. With that thing, ~60 secs it will start to smoke (its about 300 degrees) and you can get it out with a regular T40.

And fwiw..... I did not reuse the oem bolts..... I just used some bolts from the local hardware store that had socket style heads for much easier install and any future removal. And no locktight... Lol

They used Red thread locker on mine. Used a heat gun that I have from Harbor Freight to heat the bolts and soften up the thread locker. Put it on high heat and right on top of the bolt head. Used a T-40 as I could not get a T-40plus in the head. Even then it was slow and steady to get them out. Reheating when taking them out helped. Don't be afraid when the beadliner starts to melt, it seems to regain its shape. Need to get a can of spray on bedliner to cover the bolts again. If you are wondering, the BuiltRight molle panels were worth the punishment of taking out the bolts. :like:

Here is the link for the heat gun.

I used a Kobalt heat gun on medium-high (5). It was enough to loosen the bolts and not melt the Bedliner. Bolts had blue thread locker and were impossible to remove without heat.
