I have been on this forum since May of 2023 and seen several posts about ordering. Should your order be Retail or should it be Stock? Does dealer have allocation? Members have ordered recently and have a VIN for production while I ordered in May of last year with no VIN or production date.
Today I got on the Ford chat line and filed a formal complaint about this ordering process. They actually gave me a case no. Then I called the Ford Cutomer Sevice line and talked to an agent about the case I filed and said they will turn it over to a team to review it. I doubt that my single case will go far so I encourage every member to file a formal case and then something good might happen for us.

Your case isn’t with Ford motors, you have a shitty dealer.

I doubt ford will do anything beyond telling you to contact your dealer.
Do you know if your dealer ever had any allocations for Rangers and where you stand in priority with any other MY24 Rangers orders within your dealership?
Have you ever gotten any email updates from ford since you ordered?
Did they copy your drivers license and get personal information from you when you ordered?
Did they ever give you their order # and proof that confirmed it as a valid/approved order?
Lots of times delays are related to trim level ordered, options ordered that might be constrained, etc.
Ford does not build on a first in first out order basis. It's all about dealer allocation, constrained parts and unfortunately luck of the draw on what and when ford builds vehicles.
But we all for the most part feel your pain and some frustrated with the process ourselves.
Sincerely wish you luck and hope you get your truck soon.

Ford has so much to consider when picking orders. Everything from options, parts availability, paint color, production line issues for specific options, and delivery. Ford wants to ship cars/ trucks but filling a production line with orders that have too different delivery routes is inefficient. They want to fill a unit train or car hauler for your region and not have partials head in opposite directions. Ford never promises first in first out and they can't.

What I wish they would do is allow for a factory pickup option. If all the paperwork is done at the dealer and dealer gives the green light, customer should be able to pick up their new car sUV or truck while saving money.

I ordered 5/26/23 (even though Ford is now showing it as 6/26/23... weird). I share a build week with somebody who ordered a month ago. (both RR)

As customers we assume it's going to be FIFO, but there's got to be a lot more going on behind the curtain. Options, distribution logistics, dealer pecking order, who knows what else.

Your case isn’t with Ford motors, you have a shitty dealer.
I've read some concerning posts where people said things like "I'm fourth in line at my dealer, got my order in xx/xx/23" and I have to wonder if that dealer was genuinely given more allocations than the initial 1 per dealer or if these posts are coming from the unknowing customers of the shitty dealers you speak of.

I ordered my Raptor on Sep.28th, 2023 and understood it was the first order my dealer received. I called last month and checked directly with Ford, got my order number and confirmed they had received awaiting processing. Yesterday checking my dealers website noticed they had 4 Raptors listed with VIN's! I called my salesman who was surprised and had to look at the website for himself and said he would have to check it out. He understood that retail orders had priority, not stock. He called back in the afternoon and said that one of the sales managers had sold a lot of Raptors and thus got the 4 orders authorized by Ford. I asked if I could then have one of the orders and his response was mine was the highest priority and would be processed soon. Obviously 5th highest priority! Anyway I had traded my 2019 Ridgeline back on Sep.28th 2023 and also put down a $1,500. deposit so a total of $36,500. more or less on deposit. Before you ask why, understand that in socialist BC we pay 15% on more expensive new vehicles, but not on your trade in thus you save 15% on your trade in value, so I only pay on the net difference after the trade. I have also saved about $2-3,000. as my trade in Ridgeline value has gone down as used vehicle prices have fallen. But did the dealer not advance my order so they could keep my $36,500. longer and will my chances of getting a VIN soon also be compromised because they have already been given 4 stock orders?? I considered cancelling for a Toyota but then I would be paying 15% tax on the entire retail cost, so the dealer has me over a barrel. Interested in any thoughts, has my priority been shot by the dealers 4 stock orders, will it lower my priority? Frustrated with Ford.

Sounds like the dealership is up to some nonsense. You're not alone in this. I ordered my Raptor on 5/30 from a small town dealership and was guaranteed to be their first and only order in the system. After months of affirmation from the dealership, I finally gave them a piece of my mind yesterday after reading about Nov/Dec orders that are already scheduled. The GM squealed to me that some brother of a higher-up at Ford had submitted an order for a Raptor directly to Ford corporate as part of a "VIP program" and that truck was assigned to my dealership. Based on my limited research, I've found no evidence of this program actually existing, and I believe the dealership just went behind my back and submitted another order with a higher priority code. That truck has been scheduled for production.

Regardless of whether there is a VIP program, they knew they had another order in the system for a significant amount of time and never said a word to me about it. No matter what you think or how much they reassure you, dealerships are not your friend.

I ordered when you could order retail. Within a week or so dealer called and said that they had to order as for stock, took my specifics and placed order, evidently this happened to many people. Got my order info with VIN today.

Still not a Raptor
The hybrid powertrains, including TRD Pro and Trailhunter, start production in April. I think the forums were stating the holdup on new non-hybrid Taco deliveries that were supposed to start in December was due to a delay in the EPA MPG or maybe CARB certification process?

I still don't have a build date or VIN for the Ranger Raptor but have confirmed I'm the first and only order submitted for my dealer and Ford says it is clean/unscheduled. I have a line on a TRD Pro at MSRP if this continues to drag out through the summer. Just wish Toyota would release pricing, which is probably going to hurt.
